Stopped off to get takeaway - food was good, but a bit hot for my taste. Guess we should have asked for mild. Prices are top city price.

No service. We waited at the bar, then found ourselves a seat. Menus not on display. Poor selection which was overpriced. Walked out after waiting 15 minutes

This states that it is a family bar and restaurant but it is clearly a primarily chinese restaurant, catering for chinese clientele. They have retained a pretty tacky bar area but i wouldnt recommend it.

Now not a tavern, but a Chinese restaurant ?? No welcome, no service. When I liked at the menu, expensive and limited options. Maybe not looking at walks ins for clients??

The only good thing to say about this place was that the beer tasted good and it was cold. The only non Asian person on staff was the friendliest staff member the rest could barely acknowledge your presence. The food was the worst Chinese we have ever eaten. The Pork Ribs were deep fried bone and fat and the combination... More

I have just got back from possibly the worst restaurant meal and service I have ever experienced. I arrived at 8.45pm, was the only customer. Ordered fish of the day and told they didn't have it - difficult and unpleasant waiter who muttered something about whole fish only. Had the lemon chicken which was dry, over sauced . Ordered a side... More

Great place to drop in after a day carving it up on the ski fields of The Remarkables or Corenet Peak. It on the the way back from both so it makes sense to refresh at the end of the day with friends and family.

We were heading for the very new looking MacDonalds (stayed just down the road) as a final night on tour and we wanted a good quick meal. McD got the thumbs down before we walked in and we did a quick drive around the block - finally walked into the Alehouse as - looked friendly and inviting plus possibly had... More
