On Sunday seven of us stopped off at the White Hart half way through a long walk and were greeted with a welcoming smile and excellent service. Charming host, snacks on the bar with our drinks and then more snacks appeared at our table.

Lovely county pub, very friendly welcome and service. Good pub food and regional ales. We were staying in a local hotel and this was and ideal alternative to fine dining. Get there early as they have about 6 servings of each menu option but at...More

Lovely pub food, great prices and a fantastic landlord. Top rate service - our first visit but we were made to feel like old friends.

My friend lives in the village and I've gone with our group several times. Sunday roast is fantastic and served family style (we had a large group). The dessert is homemade and, if you're lucky, spotted dick will be on the menu. :)

Went to this pub as it did seem to have some positive reviews, but we were disappointed. The food was basic and uninspiring, processed ham with egg and chips. The areas behind the bar were untidy and there was an air of neglect. The staff...More

Hi, as far as I know they don't serve lunch mid week, only for the weekend. But I went 10 months ago, so make sure to phone them first and if you want to go for lunch at weekend, it's best to book it.
