Friendly place, my husband had surf and turf with veg and chips. Steak cooked exactly how he likes, plenty of surf and chips, but no veg. He still enjoyed it I had a chicken carbonara( it had a fancier name) with mushroom and garlic in a cream sauce. Plenty of everything, except the chook, ( couldn't find any) . It... More

I had two meals at the Mulga and they were great. The rump was cooked perfectly and was huge and had a chicken schnitzel on another night and was huge as well. Very reasonable priced but at the high end. The salad bar was very basic but very nice. The service was friendly would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Perfect for hungry teenagers. The steak was massive - covered the entire plate - and well priced. It was served with chips and salad (help yourself from the salad bar). Fast service. Nice, modern bistro atmosphere, popular with families.

Great feed! so much so we went there twice in 2 days, whilst on holiday. A very good selection of both adults and kids meals. Overall our family rated this place as tops. We noticed that it's also very popular with the locals and the place was packed both nights. Service was outstanding, the young ladies were happy and helpful.... More

Family meal. Good value. Typical pub spread. Had to wait an hour but informed before we ordered and I was ok with that. Gave me time for a few games of pool with my kids.

We chose to eat in the bar area - seating is quite basic. Probably better in the bistro but less atmosphere. Food was really good but what is it in Broken Hill when you order side veg you get potato.....when there are already lots of chips on the plate?? On the downside, there was enough meat to feed a family... More

We waited over 40 mins for our meals & when they did arrive they were over done & burnt. The nachos was sickeningly spicy & chips were flavoured Doritoes! I could go on, but you get the picture.

The Mulga Hill Tavern is a gem! The dining room is clean and reasonably new and young staff are friendly and efficient. Drinks and food are ordered at the bar. My wife has a beef schnitzel and I had the roast of the day (beef) both with veges. Serves were quite large. My wife was happy with the schnitzel and... More
