Really yummy! Such a nice space and was really well looked after by the staff. Great botique beers too! Can't wait to go back.

Was turned away for lunch because they were holding a school kids function. Can't comment on the food, but seriously- there was an entire separate outside area that was full of empty tables. The bartender helpfully informed us that there was a message (buried) on their FB page (not their website). They're obviously overwhelmed by customers, so I'll do them... More

Hello. We're very sorry for the inconvenience. When we are catering for large school groups our kitchen resources are fully stretched. While there may have been many tables free outside we would have been unable to serve you in a timely fashion because of the school group. We offer the school banquet at cost price as a service to schools... More

The setting and wait staff were great. We waited 45 minutes for our entrees, burnt gyozas and the other two were cold. For the prices charged these are simple mistakes that just make for an unenjoyable experience. We left after the entrees. Lots of room to improve, don't go if you're hungry.

Thank you very much for your feedback. We're extremely disappointed you had such an unacceptable experience at Nagisa. We pride ourselves on our service and getting food out as fast as we can. A 45-minute wait is clearly not good enough. We recognise we failed to communicate adequately regarding the wait time for food on this particular evening. We apologise... More

My friend booked the restaurant online for my birthday dinner. When we got to the restaurant they didn't have the booking. But, they did seat us within half an hour. We received, and subsequently had to pay for an entree we didn't order. One entree came out about 20 mins after the first one. The pork belly main- most people... More

Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry your experience didn't meet your expectations. Our pork belly is sous vide (as noted on the menu), hence it is not served with crackling. We agree that it would have been better to make note of this when you ordered. More

We have recently returned to visiting this restaurant and it seems to have greatly improved from how I remember it several years ago. The food is well presented with clean and fresh flavours and the service is great and very welcoming. They also boast an excellent wine list. Will be happy to return here on a regular basis.

Misu soup not hot enough but very taste-bud stimulating. Great waiter help with choice of specific beer and menu discussion. Excellent scallop entree - shame only 3 pieces but the taste and flavour, and the combined saki recommended went together beautifully. I followed it with an 8-piece scallop cold dish which was spicy, just hot enough in the taste-bud to... More

This is the second time I've been to Nagisa, the first time being around 10 years ago and not really convincing me of anything. But I've only heard great things in recent times, so I had to return. 10 years is a long time in the restaurant biz. It was well worth the visit. I'm a big Japanese food fan...or... More

I needed a quick fresh sushi or sashimi meal that was high quality. This restaurant didn't disappoint. Great Sushi. I had the spicy tuna and then the scallop. Nice cold Japanese beer on tap which was a nice surprise. Highly recommend.

I would have to rate Nagisa as one of my favourite restaurants in Newie. It seams that everytime we come here it only gets better. The food is sensational to say the least and last night lived up to that promise. It may be just me but i have to say that even the Asashi Lager tastes better than anywhere... More
