Went there for lunch after a game of golf at the Vintage. Great ambience and views overlooking the vineyard and golf course. Set meal. Great value. Duck entrée was great. Cooked perfectly. The pork main course was also done well. Great presentation. Great flavours. Finished off with a mixed berry panacotta. Had their wines, the Semillon which was great value.... More

At a recent event in the valley, we had a very nice meal and some super shiraz at this place. They also have some nice fortified wine.

We were told there was a new chef so popped in for lunch. No reservation required and the place started to fill up with lots of people doing the same. Food very well prepared and staff friendly and attentive. Just one thing with an open kitchen might be good to remind staff that patrons can hear you.

Party of 6 staying at the H Boutique Hotel wandered next door for an excellent meal at Esca. A few of us had the scallops entree, which made for a tasty starter. Everyone enjoyed their mains, whether it was the lamb rump - tender and tasty - swordfish, duck or the mushroom risotto, which was also big on flavour. But... More

I came here for lunch with my girlfriend and we both enjoyed an amazing lunch with a picturesque outlook. The dining room is a nice place to enjoy lunch and service was very good. There was nothing to fault.

We enjoyed a very nice evening at Esca. Service was warm and friendly, but also attentive when needed. The menu didn't grab me at first glance, but the staff were very knowledgable and we ended up enjoying every course. The wine list is impressive and the suggested wines listed on the menu are helpful. We will definitely visit again.

Loved the tasting plates with matching wines, have had before and again didn't disappoint. Wait staff were very friendly and would recommend a must eat venue in the Vineyards.

I had the blue cheese gnocchi followed by the pork fillet with cabbage and then the chocolate tart for dessert. All the dishes were amazing. The gnocchi especially was very well balanced with the cheese sauce not being too overpowering with blue cheese cream, craked pepper and sage. The Pork was perfectly cooked and the chocolate tart was very silky... More

This winery-based restaurant provides a top quality experience. The food was innovative and well presented. The location sitting as it does on top of a hill in the rolling countryside of the Hunter Valley provided the right atmosphere for a romantic dinner. Excellent local wine selection by the glass or by the bottle.
