We have not been back for a year but still the best seafood meal in Port. Been coming for years when in town and it's not disappointed ever. Our waitress Yvette was really lovely and the seafood platter extremely fresh, only thing we might have liked with it was maybe a small bowl of crunchy chips but after that great... More

Just out of Port right on the river, this is a great place to have that special meal.Meals are expensive, lobster starts at $129.00 but the quality is there. Their speciality is chowder which I rated very highly. Service was excellent.

A great venue right on the river in Port Macquarie. There is a lobster tank there where you are able to select your own lobster. The service is excellent and the food was a least a five star rating. I would recommend this restaurant to all travellers and locals to try.

the chowder was so good the night we came, we came back two nights later for more! staff were friendly and attentive and the lovely view of the river divine. the seared scallops were tasty too. its a "must go to" restaurant down the quiet end of town.

Seafood platter ordered for $150.00. Food quality was good but smallest platter I have eaten for 2 people. Does not present good value for money. Service average - did not refill glasses or ask for additional beer despite plenty of staff on and not overly busy. Views of the river good.

This was a very special occasion when the youngest member of our family (5 months old) met her great grand parents for the first time. The food was wonderful and the staff very patient with three generations of mothers trying to rule the roost (we also had a 2.5 year old with us) . The other diners were also very... More

Had a takeaway of seafood chowder it was fantastic. Plenty of seafood pieces plus the sauce was nice and thick. The bread provided was great to clean up any leftover. Price was a bit expensive but well worth it.

Something good is happening at the Whale Bone. We visit Port once or twice a year for a holiday. We go to the Whale Bone on each visit. Last visit, I was in two minds about going back again. It seemed to be on a downward slide. Glad we decided to come again. Everything has improved - the menu, service,... More

Came here whilst on holiday, was staying just down the road and saw their sign out the front advertising their legendary seafood chowder, so gave it a try! We were not disappointed and decided to order a main course of chowder and see how we went from there...it was more than enough and we then shared a dessert. The chowder... More

We shared a beautiful lunch here st Whalebone with our daughter and new son-in-law after their morning wedding. Our son-in-laws parents were also there, 6 of us in total. Beautiful outlook, overlooking the river. Most delicious Jalepeno Margarita I have EVER had, in fact, probably best cocktail I have ever had, and I have had a few !! Very fresh,... More
