Lux Bistro Bar is a café by day & restaurant by night - we offer casual dining to our guests focused on providing incredible food & service in a relaxed environment. After dinner Lux transforms into an entertainment hotspot, offering a late night "snack" menu not available at most restaurants in Wollongong. Lux is by far my new favourite place to go.. absolutely incredible service and manners by all staff members. The food was absolutely delicious and anything I requested was taken care of with ease and pleasantness. The overall feel was joyful and welcoming and as I looked around every person seemed to be enjoying themselves. Will definitely be back.!

Upon arriving was greeted with amazing and friendly service that lasted the whole night. The wait staff Was very helpful with suggestions for food and drinks but didn't matter as all the food and drinks we had that night and on other occasions have been exceptional. This would be our number one go to spot in the Illawarra Wether it's with friends for a casual night or a date night. Amazing experience. Thank you lux

A great venue in town for a business meeting where you can enjoy amazing food and a good coffee. The large tables allow room for food, drinks and still plenty of room for a laptop and notepad. Table service means you can focus on your meeting and the staff attend to all your needs. All of our clients that we have taken to Lux Bistro Bar been very happy with the experience.
Lux Bistro Bar also has a catering menu which we have used for our in office meetings and we were very happy with the selection and amount of food.
We have also been able to sneak down to Lux Bistro Bar for some Friday afternoon/ night drinks and we have to say that the cocktail menu has a lot of amazing and delicious cocktails - although we haven’t tried them all…. yet!!

Went for breakfast~very few people in restaurant sat for ages and had to ask to be served.
Wait person had a mask on that he wore under his chin`COVID SAFE NO
The coffee was dreadful and the soft scrambled eggs ordered were dry and not what we asked for.There was disco music playing,it was breakfast not their cocktail hour.
The tables were bare with no effort to make it inviting.
There are plenty of other places to eat that not as expensive with great coffee and attentive staff and no blaring music. My avo smash was watered down and cold

Lux is an absolute culinary delight that I can't recommend enough. From the moment I walked in, the attention to detail was evident. The Pulled Pork Sliders as an appetizer were a mouthwatering treat, and the Prawn & Chorizo Tagliatelle for the main course was a perfect blend of flavors. The food was a true testament to the skill and creativity of the chefs. The Lux Margaritas I had as my cocktail choice were a refreshing and delicious companion to the meal. The service was exceptional, with knowledgeable staff who provided attentive and friendly service throughout the evening. Lux is a true gem that guarantees an unforgettable dining experience.

Lux is a hidden gem that I stumbled upon for a lunch meeting, and it turned out to be an extraordinary experience. The cafe exudes elegance and charm, creating a pleasant eperience for a business discussion. The coffee was exceptional, providing the perfect start to our meeting. We shared the mouthwatering truffle fries as an appetizer, which were simply divine. The highlight of the meal was the seafood medley with creamy garlic sauce. The combination of fresh seafood and the rich sauce was a true culinary masterpiece. The attentive service and seamless execution of our meeting made it a memorable occasion. I highly recommend Lux, 10 out of 101

Lux is the real deal when it comes to having fun and good dining. The food is absolutely up there, with each dish prepared to perfection, bursting with flavour and creativity. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly and attentive, making sure you have the best experience possible. The music was killer, setting the perfect vibe, making for a truly unforgettable evening. Everything from the presentation of the food to the decor and service is up there. This place is truly a feast for all the senses. It's definitely a must-visit for anyone in Wollongong who appreciates great food and impeccable service.

I heard of Lux through a friend of mine, she kept going on and on about a place that had 10/10 food, drinks and service. I was intrigued thinking it was too good to be true or a fluke so I decided to give it a go myself ….
And I am so glad that I did. The only thing I can say is WOW, the place is really a 10/10 for everything. The staff are always so accommodating and friendly, the chefs are passionate and very good at what they do and I am yet to try a cocktail there I don’t like. The place absolutely smashed my expectations and it’s become my regular spot for coffee and after work catch ups.
If you haven’t already you need to give Lux a try, you absolutely won’t be disappointed.

Lux is a must-visit cafe in Wollongong and I recently had the pleasure of dining there, and it was an experience I won't soon forget. The Truffle Fries were out of this world and the beef and bacon sliders were equally impressive, packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. The attentive and friendly staff made our lunch meeting all the more enjoyable, ensuring we had a memorable time. And let's not forget about the coffee - it was a work of art, beautifully complementing our meal. For a delightful cafe experience with delicious food, exceptional service, and fantastic coffee, this is the place to be!

Had a great lunch at Lux with my family! Service was excellent, food was absolutely delicious and the drinks were all round amazing. Their menu had such a great range of options for the restaurant and bar that it suited everyone. The staff were bright and bubbly, and the atmosphere was really cozy and comfortable! Would definitely recommend giving this place a try!!

My friends and I decided to try attend lux over the weekend, and from my experience within the food industry I was absolutely amazed with the food! Even the presentation was great.
The staff were so kind and had a professional manner which made it so easy for us. The food didn't take long and the time between entrees and the main will was perfect.
I would highly recommend the lux to anyone! Defiently not the last time I will be attending this venue!

Had a booking of 20 people in Jan 2023 and the experience for everyone was fantastic.
Everyone commented on how good the food was, the drinks were amazing, the service was so quick and they were able to accommodate for our large booking without it being a hassle or a fuss.
Our guests left saying they would definitely be back and look forward to having their own events there!

Located just in town, LUX is a nice little restaraunt/bar. The service was excellent and the food was great too.
The only problem was the volume of the place. When we first sat down, the restaurant was full of people having a good time. The only problem was that everyone was obviously talking over each other to be heard, to an extent where people were shouting in the restaurant.
We arrived for an 8pm meal, so people had obviously been there for a while and not noticed the sound levels rising. But coming in to everyone seated and shouting in conversation was crazy.
It was so ridiculous, we couldn't even hear what the waitress was saying to us. When she left, we all actually started laughing at how crazy the volume was. We seriously could not hear each other. It was like we were in a night club (for volumes sake) but having a meal.
Again the food and service was excellent. LUX just needs to spend some money on acoustic solutions for their venue. Having solid concrete walls with a mural over probably it, is probably just adding to the acoustic problem.

We are so pleased that you were impressed by our food & customer service.
We also are aware it can get a little loud when we are fully booked, particularly around that time of the evening when our guests are having a great time & the night is in full swing. We acknowledge how this can impact some of our guest experiences and we are currently making adjustments to improve the acoustics.
If you are looking for a more relaxed, quieter evening we would recommend that you join us on a Sunday, Tuesday or Wednesday (we have an amazing Wine & Dine Wednesday Menu) as these nights are a little less busy.
Again, Thank you for your feedback, we appreciate any opportunity to improve our customer experience.
We hope to see you again soon so you can enjoy more of our delicious food & drinks.

Me and my girlfriends went out for a bite and a few cocktails Friday afternoon and it was such a great vibe! They had live music, the food was beautiful, and the cocktails were soooo great. The staff were so lovely and bubbly, even the owner Tyson went out of his way to come and see us and make sure we were happy with everything and stayed and chatted for a while. All in all such a gem of a place and couldn’t recommend it more!

Lux in name and in nature.
Very nice bar and bistro. Lots of drinks to choose from.
The vibe is great with music playing in the background, not too loud so you can still talk.
Most importantly the food was very good. Really enjoyed the duck spring rolls
