We had lunch here. The service was not good, we had to ask for water several times when we arrived as we were thirsty as it was very hot outside. The lunch was quite good but the jasmine tea was very weak. Good value food though.

The Best Asian Restaurant in Australia

I have been to many places but Comay is the best restaurant I have eaten at not only in Wollongong but also in Australia. The food is well seasoned and very tasty. The food I ordered was one of the best dishes of my life. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very cozy. The staff is extremely enthusiastic and friendly. Food was served very quickly and attentively. I can't say a word about Comay restaurant. If I have a chance I will come back again and again. Jackson Dang

Average Vietnamese Restaurant

1st time visit to this restaurant. I had beef pho Vietnamese. Busy during lunch time. Fast service. Average taste. Not much quantity. But for Wollongong area it’s good enough.

Extra charge for sauce usage!!

I have been there couple of years, recently found out we have to pay for using Sauce( chill, hoisin sauce) Extra $1, but did not get any explanation. We did not pay this time, but visit on last week, without any explanation they charged $1 extra for sauce usage. If you use samll, will be free , if u use more than small they will charge $1 dollar. Can not figure out how much is small amount. And also, lack of explanation for extra charge for the bean sprout too. We were 3 adults and 1 child, ordered 3 pho and 1 stir fry dish. Bean sprout+ **2 pieces of lemon** for the Pho was way to small for 3, asked for 1more piece of lemon and bean sprout. Restaurant was trying to charge $2 dollars extra for that. Was ridiculous, charging extra without any explanation. We are the one regular local customer, but did not want to visit there again.

Amazing food and very clean restaurant This cozy restaurant has left the best impression, delicious dishes, beautiful presentation, I like the fresh food of this restaurant , the price is reasonable, I recommend to everyone looking for somewhere to eat in I would like to com back here again and again . Price has gone up but portion of meal is smaller than before

I would've given it a 4 out of 5, their food is good but in the last year or two (2019 onwards) the quantity/portion of food has decreased, but increased in price! I used to be full from their lunch special - combination noodle salad and crispy chicken with rice, but now it feels like it's been halved to a size of a kids meal! I dont mind paying more but dont reduce the portion! Eversince i've been going to Nam's next door - the food is just as good and the portion is big :) Your lemon tea also taste like it's been watered down compare to Nams!

Vermicelli Salad

Very nice restaurant. Great ambience and friendly staff. Their dishes are rich in flavour and come in a big portion. Highly recommend if you want to treat yourself a delicious meal!

The meals are really good

We 'rediscovered' Co May vietnamese a few months back. We used to eat there often and after a gap of a few years have gone back. And we're happy we have because the meals are really tasty and authentic. In the time we were 'away' there was a change of management and the popularity of the place at weekday lunch times can be seen by the dine in take away and delivery business. The increase in demand can put strains on the service levels for dine in customers...especially when they get tables of 10-12 people, three or more groups waiting to be seated and simultaneously really large orders for delivery. We've seen this a few times and can only suggest that ordering early or eating in early at lunchtime is a way to get around that problem. The busy nature of CoMay is a testament to the great meals and generally friendly service.

Food order was good, then the rest terrible. Late and cold. Fried rice came after we had eaten the main. I ordered 2nd in a group of 20, all finished and still waiting for my meal. Waiters good but the kitchen was not ready for us even though we reserved a table 3 days ago.

Disappointing food

The starter spring rolls were appointed to menu as a special. They were overfried and very small. Not a good appetiser to share. The main courses. We had papaya salad and seafood stir fry. Both dishes were over fried and over salty. The service was reasonable, however overall an underwhelming dining experience.

Co May is our go-to place when we don't feel like cooking at home. The food is always very good. It's fresh and fast, friendly staff and we love that it's BYO with no corkage charge. When the whole family goes to Co May it's not unusual for us to take our esky and no one blinks an eye. We are never disappointed and the prices are very reasonable.

Melbourne Cup Day 2017

Today my workplace ordered a variety of dishes to enjoy whilst celebrating the 'race that stops a nation' - the Melbourne Cup. Every dish was delicious, catering for those with special requirements. This healthy food was ready promptly with the wonderful balance of sweet and sour, hot and cool - typical of good Vietnamese cuisine. Co May has been enjoyed for many years by me with friends and I have never heard a complaint. I highly recommend Co May food and service to everybody.
