Great view , excellent meal

Have seen this restaurant on a few previous trips to Wollongong and decided to book for dinner on Sunday night, the location is excellent with views over the harbour ( ask for a window table when making a booking) we chose the $65 two course option which included oysters, and tuna sashimi followed for main course by Barramundi and a pasta dish all were very good, and the service was excellent. There are multiple gluten free options and a few vegetarian options as well. I would recommend the Harbourfront restaurant for a special occasion or for a pleasant dinner with friends or family

Mid week 3 courses special for $65 was worth it!

We had a wonderful time on a Monday night with the 3 course meal deal at Harbourfront, our waitress Maddie was delightful and made our evening a far more pleasant experience with her wonderful personality! Our meals where divine, we even had the sour dough whole loaf and oysters on top of the 3 courses special for $65. Will definitely be back soon, thank you!

Pleasing Fine Dining Choice

This visit was one of several others over the last few years. This time, we had friends from Sydney for an annual get-together, and it's difficult to better the view of beautiful Wollongong Harbour from the panoramic windows of this fine dining Restaurant. It's essentially a Seafood house, but one of our guests was not a seafood eater, still they thoughouly enjoyed their chosen meal. I booked via Email and received a confirmation reply almost immediately, always a good sign. All table service staff were excellent, especially the girl who took our orders. My wife had quite serious trouble finding a parking space, and by the time she got to the table, her pre-ordered entree was cold; this waitress then refreshed her dish immediately. Most impressive indeed. Overall the food is fresh and tasty, maybe a bit pricy if treating several guests. but, everyone left happy. Parking is a problem, as there's only limited places at Wollongong Harbour, so be prepared for a possible walk to and from your car - definitely drop your guests at the door first. Overall this is a highly recommended dining experience.

Sensational Seafood

Always enjoy the Harbourfront, from the moment you arrive you are looked after. The staff are warm, friendly and very efficient. On this occasion we had oysters for entree lovely and fresh. Our next course was scampi also wonderful and fresh. We asked if the chef could adjust the dish for us and it was no problem at all. Generous serving cooked perfect. Followed by an exquisite tiramisu. A fabulous long lunch can’t wait to return and certainly recommend. It also has a great view.

Another fabulous lunch at the Harbourfront. Looked after as soon as we arrived. Beautiful view even when the weather is a bit gloomy. Crisp white tablecloths and napkins. Lovely ambience. The food sensational as always. We shared a lovely fresh sashimi plate. Delicious. I then asked if the chef could alter the scampi dish for me - no problem at all. Again it was wonderful. Other had fish and also enjoyed it all. Great wine list, cocktails and coffee. What a lovely long lunch we had and did not feel rushed. Can’t wait to return. Well done to all.

Top place for birthday lunch.

Perfect place for a celebratory lunch. We were warmly welcomed at the door, the service was impeccable, the market menu was, as usual, absolutely delicious, and such good value. We especially noticed that all fourmains were brought out at the same time, a rarity these days. A lovely table next to the window, and a candle and "Happy Birthday" message on the dessert! Thank you so much for a memorable family lunch.

Wonderful Family Celebration for New Beginnings

I booked a table for my parents and my sister to celebrate recent events in our lives. We were all attending important family related appointments in and around Wollongong and decided to gather together for an evening dinner. The entire experience was pleasant from commencing until concluding our night. The food and drinks were delicious. The service by Monique and other serving staff was exceptionally professional. I could not recommend this venue high enough for anyone wanting to celebrate special occasions such as family reunions or taking care of family affairs. Here’s to new beginnings for every family. Ps. I really hope you get your converse shoes Monique you really earned them.

Amazing Experience

We had a special occasion dinner last night which exceeded our expectations once again. We ordered the Hot and Cold Seafood platters and were delighted by the presentation and flavour. The seafood was perfectly cooked and flavourful. The service was attentive without being intrusive and all the staff were warm and polite, certainly best practice. Looking forward to going again.

Dissapointing

We ordered the seafood platter which was excellent but the evening was ruined by the service. After finishing the meal we struggled to get a finger bowl and then were totally ignored by the waiter for 15 minutes whilst he spent his time setting up for the next setting. A comment to management on deciding to leave was treated with complete indifference

Firstly, the service here is first class, all the staff are amazing, friendly and just look like they want to be there. Views over the harbour also amazing and yet neither of those is the highlight, the food is just another level. The food was incredible, Snapper on peas/broad beans/vongole and snapper on smoked greens both great dishes, ricotta/honey zucchini flowers amazing, the calamari was tender and tasted great but could just do with a sprinkle of spring onions or on a bed of rocket or mesclun or something for freshness but just a minor thing to elevate it. Desserts out of this world, not a bad thing to say about this place. Yea was pricey but was amazing.

My partner and I dined here last night, the calibre of this place is nothing short of superb. We arrived at sunset and sipped champagne after being accommodated to our seats by the maître d. Andy Mcormack head chef and his general Matt Zulumovich are hatted and michellin background and the writing is on the wall. Exceptional cuisine from perfectly balanced snacks of crisp chicken skin whipped ricotta and olive to a ravioli of celeriac with scampi and mushroom Massimo Bottura would serve in Italy. The setting by the harbour is exquisite as the peach sunset begins to abscond. The wine list is vast and staff knowledgeable, Restaurateur Ange is an asset to this truly blossoming local industry which is going from strength to strength.

My husband & I went there

My husband & I went there on the 13/2/21 for an anniversary dinner. Beautiful location lovely staff. The food for me was a little underwhelming. We shared oysters Kirkpatrick & salt & pepper squid to start it was nice. I ordered the fish & chips with mushy peas & curry sauce. Being English I was very excited. A very average meal I’m afraid. I asked the waitress what the fish was & she said flathead which is my favourite fish, my fish on the night definitely wasn’t flathead, it was even the wrong shape. My husband ordered the $98 steak that was well very tender a little over cooked but nice. The 3 pepper sauce was very watery with 3 pepper corns in the whole pot. We had a couple of cocktails they were ok but not a patch on the hotels we were staying in. A pleasant evening but won’t return.

3rd and Final visit!

This was our 3rd visit over 10 years. Started with 2 x G&T’s to unwind (nice). We ordered Scampi & Calamari (both good). My partner ordered Barra (nice) and I opted for Harissa Chicken expecting a bit of spice but was sorely disappointed (paltry serving and very bland). The final insult was the 2 glasses of local rose. I asked waitress if it was a standard measure and she said management decided to reduce serving size from 150ml to 130ml!!! Our total bill was $180 but we felt ripped off for the lousy effort on the chicken and greedy management policy on wine.

Disappointed with quality of food and seating

Attended for a birthday dinner. Have been here multiple times however very disappointed with this recent experience. Most of the food that was brought to the table was cold and we sent it back. Sizing of the food had significantly decreased. Definitely overpriced. Even though my booking was done months in advance I requested a window table and we were placed near the door. After paying a weekly wage for 6 people (no alcohol ), unfortunately was extremely disappointed and don’t think I will return. After requesting a staff member to take a photo, we were upstanding for 5 minutes before someone came to take a photo. Some staff didn’t want to be there but some other staff were pleasant and happy.

Superb Restaurant with spectacular views

We have used this restaurant many times to celebrate special occasions and yesterday did not disappoint. I requested a table with a view and we were seated upstairs near the window. Our waiter was attentive without being intrusive. The food was fresh and delicious. We asked for a break between courses and the waiter allowed us to pace our courses to suit ourselves. Highly recommend this restaurant for when you want to spoil yourself or a loved one.
