I can't understand why Montezumas would allow such poor quality food to be passed off under their name. I've eaten at Montezumas for years at Burleigh and in Melbourne...by far Coolangatta is an embarassment to Mexican cuisine. Couldnt finish our bland slop with so much , i think the worst, red sauce and piles of sour cream on nachos and... More

Thought I'd treat myself to a rare takeaway meal on my last night here in Coolangatta. Food was not cheap, and very very ordinary. I would have made better if I'd walked an extra 50 meters and grabbed an Old El Paso kit from Woolworths.

Montezuma coolangatta never disappoint us With their foods. I have never been more amazed by such exquisite taste. Service was excellent even on a busy night. Waitress was kind enough to fit us in. My kids enjoyed their Nachos and enchiladas. Will definitely be back. Much recommemded.

Worst restaurant meal I have had in a long time. Salsa was no different to what you buy in the supermarket, meals were worse. Spend $15 and buy old El Paso from coles and it will be more authentic.

I found the food average and the children's meal were bare bones. I would not visit here again. They need to step up the menu and make it more exciting

Came with a sports group for dinner all who had big appetites. Food was plentiful and fresh. Good Mexican which doesn't pretend to be what it's not. Kitchen did well to get all meals on the table within about 5-10 minutes. The jug of margarita is the way to go. Not a cheap meal really for a group but I... More

We chose to eat lunch and found excellent value $9 lunches. Service was very good. The restaraunt was well subscribed but plenty of tables nooks and some outside dining.

Just recently dined in with family to celebrate My daughters 22nd birthday. We're surprised they have many choices of vegan meals, and surprisingly they have this vegan cheese and sour cream. Food and service are really exceptional in this authentic restaurant. We'll definitely comeback.

Stuffy restaurant, bad food, bad service, beyond dissapointing, cannot advise stronger not to go to this restaurant, they clearly rely on tourists as I very much doubt their are any regulars
