Five of us went to Smoky Joe's on Saturday night 7.30. Three of the mains were not available. My friend ordered the "dinner meal" i think it was called priced at $31 i think. The waitress came back a few moments later to advise him that the price had gone up by $3 and was he happy to pay extra... More

Due to a printing error on the last run of menu pages the BBQ Dinner was wrong, rendering a 1/2 chicken being added for .50 which is obviously unsustainable. Most customers were fine with this when apprised of the change. Your table ordered starters and drinks which were delivered within 20 mins, with mains following 20 minutes after, even though it... Just when you think it couldn't get better, you get the end cut of the brisket. It was insanely good!!! Great place for excellent food. I highly recommend the Brisket and Boston Butt if it's your first time. I guarantee you'll come back.

At the beginning the atmosphere had a beautiful, relaxed ambience. The food was as one would expect at Smokey Joe's, although the smoked half chicken was quite dry. Then a party of 12 boisterous individuals sat down to a meal and completely destroyed the experience. I have to query why this group wasn't placed in a separate room available to... More

Four of us visting Launceston from Sydney found Smokey Joe's and were delighted by the experience of great food in a very nice setting provided by staff with a passion for Cajun food. Couldn't be better.

This was my wife's and I first visit. I love my food and If I pay top dollar expect a realistic review.....First the negatives : 1) The restaurant is in an old home converted and was a little difficult to find as it is not well signed especially in the dark for new comers.I had to ring for the address... From the rude service, the poor menu (no kids menu, no consideration of customer dietary needs), less than average quality food (the kids did enjoy a bowl of chips an hour into the wait) and the food arrived completely out of order and randomly to the diners. After a whole two hours of waiting for random dishes to arrive, the... More

Had a great meal here. Meat, beef and pork, was tender. Servings were quite large, so had to forgo dessert unfortunately, because the cobbler loooked excellent and tasted so good I was told. Service a little slow, but the place was full. Waiter very polite. Try the beans as a side dish.

Was a little worried when they put the meal in front of me - looked like a dry piece of meat. I had the BBQ Butt my partner had the northern ribs - couldn't have been more incorrect!! The meat just fell away and melted in my mouth. We were put in a room off from the main area which... More

Authentic, deeelicious food, service is good, staff friendly. Love how the chef comes out to interact with the customers, it's clear that he loves his restaurant. Not my first visit, will continue to return!
