We ate here almost all our lunches and a couple of dinners. The location was perfect as it was right on the bikini beach.
Their a la carte and buffet dinner were the best in Maafushi. However, the quality of food in buffet wasn’t as good as in a la carte. They promote the buffet for dinner but also allow you to go a la carte if you ask for it. Buffet dinner was 12$ which is good value for your money but 8$ for tuna steak or 6$ for a sub are that too.
They had live music most of the evenings and it usually started around 19.30. During busiest evenings, you needed to wait for a table for two (outside) 15-30 mins if you arrived after 19.00.
Their new year's dinner (40$) was surprisingly good and worth the price.

We didn’t stay at the Arena hotel but visited their buffet on recommendation and we were not disappointed. We visited a few times during our two weeks in Maafushi.
There’s a very large selection of food, including freshly cooked fish and meat on the grill. The food is a very good standard and it is regularly replaced. The staff are very nice, the outdoor seating on the beach is lovely and it’s well lit with music (including live acts on certain days).
Available 7pm - 10:30pm for $12 per person (not including drinks or tax & service charge). You’re looking at around $30 for two people if you have a large bottle of water to drink.
You won’t be hungry for a while after eating here.

Pro:
*Good assortment of fresh and tasty food. Two cooks on site (one at BBQ cooking tuna and hot dog weiners) and another at a pasta station.
*Food was replenished quickly.
Cons:
*Our waiter had a terrible attitude. Rude and unhelpful.
*Buffet did not include drinks. These had to be purchased in addition to cost of buffet.
*Taxes elsewhere on island 16%, but here you pay additional 6% tax. That's a hefty amount of taxes.
Overall delicious meal. The experience would have been near flawless with a better waiter (We did note ghat most of the servers seemed friendly and motivated). As it was, good meal but likely not to return.

This hotel is located in a very good location at the beachfront. Rooms are quite spacious and the view from the pool is spactacular. They however have room for improvement especially with the TV having a limited number of channels as well as even being offline often. They should also increase their fly traps as the flies get really bad especially in the hot mornings. The buffet dinner and breakfast food was quite good although more drink varieties would be offered at breakfast. The manager and staff were also very helpful and friendly. In terms of activities, they should make sure life jackets are matched to the size of the person as the ones we got gave us bad arm bruising whilst snorkelling. In general, overall our stay was quite pleasing and would recommend this hotel

I stayed at the nearby Kaani Palm Beach hotel and wanted an option for dinner. Although it didn’t have the options you would see at a high end restaurant, such as carved meat of any kind, and represented a strange fascination throughout the Maldives for sausages that look like hot dogs (I assume they are for the many Russians who vacation there), it did have a fresh tempura bar with a chef constantly cooking vegetables and shrimp. There was also a chef dispensing freshly grilled fish with four different saucing choices. Desserts were uncreative and there were only two options. The only other decent dinner I could find was at my own hotel restaurant. This buffet was priced well at $12US. The atmosphere was nice with colored lights on the palm trees and the best service I enjoyed at any restaurant on Maafushi.

1)Arena becah restaurant is located on beach and has great ambiance during dinner time
2)they have la carte and buffet options available. For buffet dinner they normally charge $12 plus taxes per person.
3)they also have option of candle light dinner close to beach but I would personally not recommend this if you opt for buffet because you will have to walk a bit to go to buffet. I saw a couple walking all the way crossing other table to take the food from buffet and go back to their table which was near to the beach.
4)Post dinner you can sit by the beach which is quite and beautiful
5)There are two cats at the restaurant which cause a lot of disturbance as cats will be making noise by sitting beside your table and will sit their staring at the food you have. I had to call waiter multiple times to remove the cats.
6)Must go place for dinner whenever you are in Maafushi.

It's great to have breakfast and dinner outdoors. Meals are good, we missed seafood but got excellent fried fish every day. Lobster, shrimp, crabs are provided for extra money. During breakfast flies are annoying... the staff tries to scare them away with some heat on the table. During dinner there are no more flies.
Friendly staff, delicious meals. Good value for your money.
During the day ordering a'la carte is a great choice. Juices, smoothies are also tasty. Prices - affordable.

We live in another hotel but have lunches and dinners there and pay for each visiting. There is good buffet restaurant and a la carte menu. Restaurant is located near the beach so you enjoy not just your meal but the ambience too if you don't pay attention to a crowd of people 🙂

it's nearby the bikini beach. i had dinner here 1 night. alot of guests, i think mostly are the hotel guests. they serve buffet dinner, usd15 per pax. variety is ok. the price is standard at few other buffet places like salt beach.
few of my friends had buffet, and i ordered ala carte from the menu. they allow us to be seated together. my spaghetti bolognese is usd7. they also have fried noodles, fried rice etc, between usd7-10. the spaghetti portion is big, for an average asian girl like me, can actually feed 1.5 person :D
buffet does not include drinks tho, no plain water provided.

We went here one night because we had read good reviews. The buffet seemed appetising, with a good variety of foods.
Pasta station was live cooking station, but everything was cooked in the same pan. Which made every pasta dish smell the same: like cheap parmesan.
BBQ station consisted of a gas BBQ. On our night there was tuna and also chicken sausage. The tuna wasn't flavoured with anything.
The food in general was bland and not flavoursome.

The hotel is very clean and tidy. Housekeeping goes out of their way to help you and cater to your needs. Sunbeds, umbrellas, boards are free. Not only that, they also have fun aqua aerobic, yoga, dj, parties and you can book many trips (sharkbay, sandbank, snorkelling). The food is good and you also get to meet the locals. They exeeded my expectations.

On our recent vacation to Maldives, we found a delightful dining spot in Maafushi Island - the Arena Beach Restaurant. Among the limited options in Maafushi, Arena stood out as a beacon of consistent quality.
The restaurant, easy to locate, offers a reliable dining experience. Its commitment to cleanliness and decent food guarantees an enjoyable meal. Though there's room for improvement, it's one of the best options in Maafushi. We highly recommend the Arena Beach Restaurant for a pleasant dining experience in Maafushi Island.
