We visited here for the first time last December and ate from the counter cabinet. Our latest visit saw us choose from the table served menu. On both occasions the food and service were excellent. The owner and chef are on-site, take pride in what they are doing and it shows. We both had the gurnard on this latest visit... More

A regular place for me to go as the food is always wonderful. Tasty, great menu and prompt. Best cafe/restaurant in Palmerston North by a mile in my opinion.

Thoroughly enjoyed lunch at The Elm Cafe. Very popular and it was only a Wednesday. I had the Portobello Mushrooms & my husband the Kumara Hash both from the Brunch Menus, which were both delicious.

We enjoyed a really nice Sunday brekky here. The menu had some different meals to those normally seen and we both tried something different. Really nice food and quickly served.

This has become a favourite for a delicious breakfast or brunch. If we're not eating off the menu, we enjoy the scones or muffins. The coffee is always great and the staff are friendly. Recommend to everyone.

We went for a Sunday lunch, and took and inside seat. The sound seemed to carry, and we could pick up conversations all around. Our order was taken quickly, and the food didn't take too long to arrive. My wife had the omelette which was really great. The Kedgeree was also tasty, but I found the rice was a little... More

The service, food and coffees varied from reasonable to well below average. My coffee was bitter, had a scone which was nice but stingy on the butter. Others had panninis but heating wasn't offered but was done when asked for. Food came out at varied times. A self professed upmarket cafe should be attentive to the customers, and should offer... Awesome service, and environment. Barista skills are always really good, same with food. One of my favourite cafes in palmy.

We enjoyed a rather good coffee and were totally won over the delicious and highly calorific cakes and slices at Elm. I had something that was packed with nuts and caramel, which I relished. The counter service was extremely friendly. My friend and I sat outside in the sheltered courtyard and had a thoroughly enjoyable time. Such a nice spot
