Whenever I visit Wanganui, I always relish picking up a flat white from this great little cafe. The cafe staff are bright and friendly. There is a small range of cabinet food including muffins, slices, savouries in addition to a menu for cooked dishes. However, I score an excellence award for the consistently high standard of the coffee. It is... More

Have had breakfast here about 4 times, food and service is satisfactory. Only complaint is having asked if there was a dominion to read and been told it hadn't arrived yet it was suddenly available when a regular patron arrived. Benefit of doubt first and second time but by the third this happened I had enough of being lied to.

Brilliant musical retro décor with vinyl record covers adorning the walls and a focus on the 80s! Great coffee, delicious slices and will modify the menu a bit for difficult customers (like me!). They also have free wifi, just ask for the password when you order.

Had a quick stop over at the Red Eye as I was waiting for an appointment across the road. I ordered a coffee and bacon sandwich to kick start the day. The coffee was really good and the bacon sammie was one of the best. The café itself was clean with a mixture of modern and old furniture. Service was... More

sloping floor, new location, seating on the 'downlow' not comfy for us fatties. Aioli was drizzled on food..should've been a choice (not like aioli). Bagel was excellent. Next time..yes :) we will sit on the other side of the room. Love that it isn't overcrowded with tables, do miss the 'outside' of the previous location.

I called in to this awesome little cafe for an early morning coffee. I ended up also having a bacon butty with a piping hot Havana flat white. This place has a great atmosphere, friendly staff, clean and good selection of food. This will definitely be a destination for me when next in Wanganui!

Fantastic coffee and the savoury muffins are the best, enjoyed a chilled out time out back on the patio area.
