Service average, but food... not even close. I ordered prawns and bruschetta. Prawns were good but covered, I mean drowned in a mayoish aioli sauce which ruined them for me. It took me two napkins to try to get the aioli off. Just put it on the side for those who want it. The salad with the prawns was good.... More

The service was very friendly and the food was nice. My son enjoyed his creamy chicken pasta and I had a wholesome and tasty vegetable soup with sourdough bread. Coffee was great, and they also sold the delicious Deep South ice cream. The prices were moderate but commensurate with the quality of the food.

Found the resturant while driving through, their sign at the front appealed to me so I went in for dinner and had the Salmon with lemon, herb crust, wild rice, beans and a sauce Hollandaise. I must admit the taste was much better than I have expected. I strongly suggest this dish to fellow travelers. I returned the next morning... More

Arrived in Greymouth on Sunday afternoon to find it closed. Ghost road earlier had led to Ghost town! We did eventually find signs of life at the railway station, albeit full of coaches, due to the lack of trains. Around the corner we then found what you can always find in New Zealand, a brilliant cafe. Ali's is the one... More

The Moroccan lamb was fantastic and the smoked chicken pasta was out of this world. The chicken was so tender and delicious. Highest complements to the chef and the amazing staff. Please move to Adelaide! We need you here 😀

This is not a fancy restaurant (sort of diner-like), but the food was great, thoroughly enjoyed by everyone on our group of six. We stopped for lunch on our way to the Pancake Rocks at Punakaiki, and they served us quickly and cheerfully. Several in our group had sandwiches (highly recommended), and some had a late breakfast type meal. Gluten... More
