For some reason this pub seems to go through phases, sometimes it's really busy and other times its empty. Maybe they just need to start restocking iron brew WKD again!!

This was our first visit to the Angel and it didn't have a nice atmosphere, they had football on all of the televisions. Ordered two roast chicken dinners & vegetarian dinner (cheesy potato pie). We didn't wait long and the two roast chicken dinners looked lovely and my husband and my mother-in-law mostly enjoyed them. However my vegetarian dinner was... More

Called in here with Friends, Managed to get in but very full, Lots of people eating. Good selection of cask ales. Went today for lunch with 3 colleagues. We placed a very straight forward order 4 x Jacket potatoes, when placing the order we were told that there would be a 30 wait for food (not ideal and somewhat of a surprise as at that point there was only 4 other people in the place!) but OK thanks for the warning.... Went in here on a recent visit home to watch the football, lovely pub, good prices, friendly service, very clean, didn't eat on that occasion but the food that kept coming out of the kitchen looked absolutely fantastic, will definitely be eating here on my next visit home.
Beer was excellent... local brew Saltaire Blonde was a real favourite with me and my friends. Food very reasonably priced and good quality and service very good.
Ate in here while on holiday. Varied menu and very reasonably priced.( Eight ounce steak with all trimmings for under six pounds) excellent, and very good it was too.Staff very friendly. Decor could be better and rather an over abundance of tv's which were all on at the same time making it difficult to hold a conversation.
