Very easy to find off the A1, quaint village, lovely atmosphere. I had the Roast beef, Stilton cheese and red chutney sandwich on homemade white bread, chocolate fudge with pouring cream and a cuppa. Large servings. Absolutely delicious. The staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable in what was on the menu.

Where do we start when reviewing The Running Fox? Every time we visit is exceptional 😊 During our stay this year we made two visits, afternoon tea (a wedding present gift voucher) and again on Sunday (4/12) for breakfast before we started our trip home. Both times the food was delicious, the service is always friendly and with a smile.... More

Excellent choice of meals and extremely helpful service. All reasonaly priced. If anything, they give you too much! The pies are delicious and the sweets home made.

Popped in for breakfast this week and was delighted by the lovely food excellent service and friendly staff. All the food we ordered was fresh and hot and of good quality. The coffee especially was very good. Prices were fair and plenty papers to read along with spotlessly clean bathroom. Really very good and a perfect stop off heading up... More

Sublime food, gorgeous looking cakes. Mrs H and I have been here a few times, always booked. Have bought meal cards for friends and rellies, who have never been dissapointed. We have never had a full meal, but the sausage sarnies I've had, have been sublime. Last saturday, I had an open prawn and smoked salmon sandwich, it was incredible.... More

I can only reiterate all the very positive comments that have already been said. The Running Fox serves food of a very high quality, beautifully presented, in a warm and inviting setting and with friendly efficient service. On top of all that, it is perfectly situated by the river in Felton. A gem.
