Looking for a sweet snack after a meal or just on it's own? Tropicana caffe offers a great selection of scrumptious desserts including my favourite lemon meringue mountain. Good service, seating outside and in, a nice easy choice when eating local.

I went there for lunch and to also use the WiFi as mine wasn't working at home. The lady behind the countered yelled the incorrect password and after of course it wasn't working, she just ignored me. The food is overpriced and bad! Seriously, don't go here.

The Mediterranean fish stew was tasty with a fairly bland tomato sauce. The children were well looked after with spaghetti bolognese and chicken nuggets. Steamed vegetables were also bland. Fish burger looked the best.

Over cooked tuna on what was meant to be served rare & I mean way over cooked. Very disappointing. They were quiet so not sure how this would happen. Won't be back.

Called in for lunch today. Ordered spaghetti carbonara which I could not finish, there was so much. Asked if the plates are getting bigger!! always reasonably priced and although the wait staff are constantly changing, they are always friendly and obliging. Thank you.

Staying in Coogee

Neighbourhood Profile
Coogee
Very accessible by public transport, Coogee is the smaller, friendlier, more intimate version of Bondi Beach. Coogee is the only beach in the Eastern suburbs that does not have big waves, making it an excellent family beach. The Coogee Bay Hotel, located right across the beach, has one of the biggest beer gardens in Australia and plenty of entertainment every night of the week. Be on the lookout for celebrity footballers! A little further south is Wylie’s Baths, offering sweeping 180 degree views over the Pacific Ocean, and it is perfect for a swim or a few laps. Plenty of dining choices surround the beach, including the famous fish and chips.
