Visited this restaurant with family whilst staying in Sydney , the restaurant itself is quite dark inside and there's not much of an atmosphere , ours was a midweek visit so that might explain the lack of atmosphere , the food itself was very tasty and the flavours very nice , presentation excellent the service was excellent and the staff... Reading the reviews of the Banana Palm a person would be inclined to dine there for fine food and lovely staff. Well not so last night. One of the waitresses has the worst attitude and rudeness I have ever seen at a restaurant. Clearly not wanting to be waiting tables, she served in a surly manner and when we asked... More

We walked past Banana Palm over several days and didn't even realise there was a restaurant there until someone else suggested we try it. Beautiful Vietnamese food served by lovely staff in a tastefully decorated restaurant - defintetely worth another visit

Our group of ten was attentively and unobtrusively served with food coming quickly. Beautiful tastes, and i have a bit of a bland talent. Really enjoyed only my second experience of Vietnamese food.Won't be too long between experiences this time.

The restaurant has modern decor with pictures of rural Vietnam on the walls. They were easily able to seat the 10 people in our group. We all ordered the banquet. The service was prompt and friendly. The food was fresh and taste with appropriate portions. The staff brought gluten free food separately to one person in our group, so even... More

Loved this place. Food was delicious (we had the stuffed prawns and the beef curry). Service was efficient and attentive without being obtrusive. Definitely worth a visit!

Ive been a regular at Bana Palm for many years The ambience is relaxing and intimate. The food is healthy and fresh and the service by Lilly and the staff 1st class. Great for a romantic dinner for 2 or for several friends in a larger group, Bana Palm is the perfect venue. If you only visit one restaurant in... More

Visited here on a Thursday night back in July. Wasn't too busy as was raining outside. The service was great and the food was very tasty. A bit quiet though could do with a bit of music !

Thank Durosek

Staying in Coogee

Neighbourhood Profile
Very accessible by public transport, Coogee is the smaller, friendlier, more intimate version of Bondi Beach. Coogee is the only beach in the Eastern suburbs that does not have big waves, making it an excellent family beach. The Coogee Bay Hotel, located right across the beach, has one of the biggest beer gardens in Australia and plenty of entertainment every night of the week. Be on the lookout for celebrity footballers! A little further south is Wylie’s Baths, offering sweeping 180 degree views over the Pacific Ocean, and it is perfect for a swim or a few laps. Plenty of dining choices surround the beach, including the famous fish and chips.
