I am shocked. We just paid $30 for an entree of Cajun vegetable stack which was the blandest, most ordinary pile of cooked vegetables in a plain tomato sauce; nothing Cajun about it. Flavours terrible. And a $30 dessert- meringue and mango sorbet with fruit that I could swear - almost 99%- was tinned. Whether it was or wasn't- if... More
Echoes is attached to Lilianfels and part of the Escarpment group. Our dinner was well presented with a strong Thai touch and we had the pleasure speaking to the Thai chef who does really a nice job. The team was enthusiastic on that quiet Thursday evening, but the facility needs some thorough housekeeping as pointed out and acknowledged by the... More
We walked in without reservations on Easter Sunday. They first gave us a table inside, which still had a great view. After we ordered, a large Chinese tour group came in with multiple toddlers. The staff were seating them right behind us! The head waiter came over and asked if we would like to move to the outside (reserved!!) seating... More
Went here as a special occasion for our anniversary. High end fine dining but it is worth it for the view. We had a drink in the bar area before dinner to watch the sunset. Really lovely but it was outside and there were alot of bugs. We had the three course option. My steak was well cooked and really... More
The view is by far the draw card for Echoes. You are perched right on the top of the valley with unobstructed views out. Food is good, as too is service. Must admit I prefer the food at Darley's (sister restaurant) however you cant beat the view and atmosphere at this place. Cocktails are nice as well...
We stopped in this little village to look around in shops and have a bite to eat. There were five of us and ordered light meals, which were all so tasty and good. The staff was wonderful. Quick service. Leural is such a cute area. I'd love to come back and spend more time looking thru the shops.
Anniversary Lunch. Ushered to the side dining room instead of the glass enclosed veranda where we have been before. Unfortunately a couple with screaming toddlers were seated near to us which made it a bit noisy. The food was very good as you would expect for the cost, however the seating location and noise detracted from the experience. Not sure... More
We chose Echoes to celebrate my birthday lunch. We couldn't find a single fault! The staff were very attentive & helpful. The food was amazing! We had the Parmesan bread, the steak, the risotto, then followed by the dessert for 2. Everything was delicious & the view was gorgeous. Then the staff delivered a complimentary plate of 4 delicious little... More
Food a service were good, the view is fantastic but you need to get in early to get the best seats. I recommend a brunch or early/late dinner option obviously to late and its dark so pick a moonlit night for dinner.

Am I going to be disapointed. We are staying at lilianfels and have eaten at darleys. The reviews here sound horendous!
We will be there around 3 after lunch. We don't have time to stay for dinner . Do you have high tea or just coffee and nibbles?
