Popped in to this delightful little cafe to grab a coffee and escape the rain with our toddler. Two smooth coffees, crossiants with butter and delicious jam, and a baby chino later and everyone was happy again. Best crossiant I've had in years! (We didn't see any highchairs but our toddler was happy enough to sit on the sturdy chair.)

The Elephant Bean gave me the best cup of coffee I have had in Australia so far. It was a long black, not modified Americano. Actually I had two :) and enjoyed my beans on toast very much as well. I lucked into this place because it opened early and was opposute the guiding service I had booked for later,... More

Quirky and cute little cafe, really good coffee but the food is very average, not much to choose from. This is a cash only cafe also which is very frustrating and would put some people off.

Went in here on the drive up to Bathurst. The coffee (freshly ground) & tea (in a teapot with leaves) were great. So were the freshly squeezed orange juices we got with breakfast. Food was great. I had the big breakfast (which was big) and very tasty whilst my wife had the scrambled eggs with Chorizo & sweet potato. Just... More

I will start off by saying: a) I'm a local and b) I am on the search for the best coffee Katoomba (as well as Leura) has to offer About 30 years ago my sister spent time working in Katoomba, and I am sure it was around back then, so its longevity means they must be doing something right. I... More

Such a terrible experience the staff were not pleasant at all I know it was only an hour or so before closing time, but hey it is a business in a tourist area and one would expect better. Our sandwich had a chicken bone in it of reasonable size (fortunately found before consuming) the chicken looked like it was scrapped... More

This place has a really chilled vibe with the most incredible coffee! You can definitely tell they take great care in the quality and flavour of their coffee. We often would grab a coffee there even if we were eating elsewhere. They also do a brewed chai with fresh ginger, slightly more of a ginger flavour than most chai but... More

I had a coffee and chorizo/bean breakfast as per the current profile photo which were both fine... it's a small interior and fills up quickly on a wet/cold day, which often happens and can only do if regulars frequent. One was there during my visit and chatting away but staff had time for that, which is a nice sign

If you're looking for that local, slightly grungy, bo-ho, hippie mountains vibe, then this is the coffee for you. Generally great coffee, but service wise sometimes feels as though the staff would prefer to talk amongst themselves, than engage with their customers, even whilst they're serving them.
