This place is amazing. We'd been driving around and spent a few nights in Melbourne, savouring the delights of Lyon Street along the way. Well, the pizza I had here was much, much better than the one I'd consumed in that famous street a couple of days previously. Great restaurant. Great service. Terrific atmosphere. The food we consumed was delicious... More

There are a few Restaurants in Port Campbell for the tourists staying on the Great Ocean Road. Nico's has a friendly interior stuffed with Italian memorabilia, although the pizza's have long departed from the classic Italian tradition. That said they are wholesome and come in two sizes. Greedily I ordered the larger which, with its thick doughy based, would have... More

The atmosphere was great, but initially we were a little put off by the wait time and the price. So worth it though! The pizzas we had were delicious and we left super satisfied.

From the moment you walk in you feel you’re in a quintessentially Italian eaterie. Quirky décor abounds; the greeting and service from the delightful lady of the house, Helen, is warm, sincere and laced with a wickedly wry sense of humour. Then there’s the label on the excellent house wine's label, which tells an absurd story of its origin.

We rumbled into town late (ie 745pm) one evening after a major accident closed the main Great Ocean Road. We checked into our hotel and headed to the main strip only to find that everywhere stopped serving food by 8pm (and offerings were very expensive even for Australia). Luckily we stumbled into Nico's a little after 8 and they were... More
