Haven't been to this place for a very long time. Chapel st is not a place that draws me in. We visited during the week for dinner and it was relatively quiet with only one waitress. Service was fast and the food was very nice, some dishes a little salty but overall very good. We chose to share the 1/2... More

We went here on a deal we purchased online. There so call tapas was not authentic. Just a lot of bread. Pretty average service. Not very inviting. Terrible seating. Would not revisit.

The restaurant was neat. We were welcomed by the charming host & provided the seats of our choice. Great to start with chilled glass of Sangria. We had ordered a set menu. Service was prompt with right time gap between each course. The food quality was good except the Paella was too salty & the rice was not well cooked.... More

After a rousing night with my son and his mates, Basque Tapas provided us with some simple and some exotic food choices that worked well even for the vegetarian in our midst.

This place has got it all wrong - the decor is tacky and the food is pretty tasteless. If they jazzed up the menu a bit, repainted the walls and set up a counter they could make it a far more attractive place for passersby who would want to join in the fun!

Okay drinks menu, the food on the table next to us looked nice but we'd already eaten. Service was okay although the waitress seemed to become easily confused over a relatively simple order. Might pop back in for a drink again.

A few years ago Basque was awesome. I remember a degustation meal of several courses which was so absolutely delicious, I kept coming back - with friends. Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend this place. The last two times I took friends here, it was because all the nearby restaurants were booked out, and Basque had plenty of empty tables.... The overpowering smell of urine on arrival was probably the high point of this dining experience. Poor food, horrible service, ordinary wine list - the Spanish government should be all over this for the bad name it gives to Spain.
