This is our second visit to Pequene Mundo and it was every bit as good as our visit last year. I had meat and my wife had fish. Both courses were simply delicious. I think what I love about this restaurant is that the food...More

This is the second year where we have dined in Pequeno Mundo restaurant. It is in the premiere league of high quality restaurants in the Almancil - Quinta do Lago area. The restaurant is beautiful and dining, particularly in the courtyard area, has great charm....More

We've dined at this lovely restaurant many s time, but last Friday was sadly a disappointment. I made the booking from the UK before we travelled and was to have been the highlight of our trip this year. I confirmed the booking on Friday morning...More

A beautiful setting. Drinks in the garden. Choice of indoor, courtyard or patio seating. This was a return visit after an absence of some years. A warm welcome from the efficient staff. Great menu choice and we enjoyed an attractive and delicious dinner with our...More

Pequeno Mundo is in a typical Algarve-style house with a romantic outside courtyard based around a fountain. The international menu shows clear French influence. The food and service is very traditional. Everything was unpretentious and everything was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. The Chateaubriand with...More

This restaurant is a really wonderful place to dine in. The ambience is exceptional, the service really good, the food delicious and the wine list extensive. Try the special dishes and ask Elena - the sommelier-to recommend a suitable wine to go with food you select to...More

We go at least once a visit to this timeless restaurant. The menu, service and atmosphere never change: and why would they, when everything is so well done. Try to sit outside in summer and at least try the samosas!

My wife and I have been coming back to Pequeno Mundo every year since we discovered it a while back. It has become a holiday tradition and we look forward to the signature chateaubriand. We even joke about how it’s a role of the dice...More

Enjoy a cocktail in the stunning gardens, with the scent of flowers and wonderfully ambient lighting, followed by a wonderful meal. The menu contained so many delicious options it was hard to choose, but the chateaubriand was served perfectly, and the béarnaise and peppercorn sauces...More

Algarve is al fresco dining. Pequeno Mundo is set in a lovely house with tables scattered trough the courtyard and garden. Food couldn't be more traditional from escargots to lightly cooked fish. Everything unpretentious and perfectly cooked and presented. I'm a repeated offender

I have to say they welcome children (as long as they are under control - unfair to disturb other diners), the owner loves children. Whilst my kids aren't vegetarian, they are always happy to make smaller or special dishes... More

Description
The menu comprises mainly recipes of French origin, chef Valentim Carmo, a young man who learned the profession thanks to chef Guy Doré with whom he worked for 25 years. In addition to the French cuisin, Valentim Carmo, born in the cold lands in the north of Portugal, applies those native flavors of the region in his dishes. Pequeno Mundo has been able to attract a constant clientele wishing to find dishes and flavours discovered here when of a gastronomic visit and returns with friends to share again those moments.
