We ate here twice after being recommended by a friend. Malveiro is owned by Lionel who is a really nice guy who is happy to explain anything on the menu. His staff are also very efficient and attentive. All the food my family had was superb and everyone commented on how lovely it was, I would definitely recommend the Prawn... More

We arrived to be greeted by the family and shown to a table in what is like a family dining room. The food is all home cooked and quite authentic. A lovely plate of starters arrived under the title of "cover". No need for a starter after this. For the main I had the kid a good choice. Lovely wine... More

A lovely restaurant a little off the beaten track, the cuisine is unique and excellent value, try their home made organic red wine too!

We have been here many times over the past few years and it's always brilliant. The style of cooking is somewhat rustic but cleverly and neatly presented. They serve food you really want to eat, and it's so relaxed and friendly. In fact it's usually full of regulars who all seem to know each other but don't be put off... More

Not a great location but worth a visit. Somewhat different cuisine: I don't think I've eaten kid before. Good value.

Eclectic interior, but I liked the fact that the owner (Lionel) meets everyone at the door and seems to take a personal interest in your dining experience. They've had wine made for them (red and white) and whilst you mull over the menu you get served a nice little selection of nibbles, and to try the wine. Everyone seems to... More

When we first visited this restaurant we enjoyed the food and experience but either we have got bored or it has slipped a little. If you are not a prawn fan go else where. The other main course menu options are heavy and stodgy. One of our group had a disappointing curry, I had fish, baked in an earthen dish... More

Sadly it was our last day in Algarve, we wish we had known about this excellent restaurant days before. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was supreme, the staff makes you feel at home. The price even better. The best choice of Almacil and Quinta do Lago, this place is a must ....

We have eaten here several times before and have found the quality of the food to be both excellent and consistent. The restaurant has a quiet, cosy atmosphere which is quite romantic and the staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Would particularly recommend the Mozambique prawns, either as a starter or main, and the prawn curry or clay shingle kid... More
