Not been here for many years but thought I'd give it a try again with a golf buddy. Had read it was under new ownership. Arrived early so not surprised restaurant was empty but it got busier later on. The interior is quite rustic but a roaring wood stove fire gave the place a cheerful appearance. The food, chicken in... More

Visited in November for dinner. We had not been here before, but will definitely be coming back! Considering the time of year, the restaurant was quite busy. The staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. We had a lovely beef stroganoff. We will definitely return in the summer with our family.

We have a holiday home in Vila Sol and booked this restaurant for the first time when we were on holiday in November. This is located down a narrow side road on the Almancil to Vale Do Lobo road and when we parked up and walked to the front door it appeared we were entered a private home, however once... More

The restaurant's advertising is that it offers the best steak in the Algarve. While they were very good I somewhat doubt that they are the best. Still, worth a visit.

This is a restaurant I have been going to for some 25 years. It was good before the new owners took it over, but there is now a more modern approach to everything from the décor to the food. The service is friendly and Angel I think is his name is always good fun and attentive. We will be there... More

Super restaurant. Taken over last year I think by members of the family. Slightly dated but hey don't fix what ain't broke!!! Food delicious, lots of advice about the menu given by super friendly staff. My husband had one of the best pieces of steak he has ever had.....

I visited this fabulous restaurant, for the second time, a few days ago whilst on holiday with a group of friends. The food was delicious, can highly recommend the chicken in mushroom sauce and the service was excellent. Will definitely be visiting again in the future. Angel is a wonderful host. Try the new set menu.

It has been a couple of years since we last visited this restaurant and it has recently changed hands, for the better. The food was excellent, and they are happy to adjust things to your preference - e.g. how sweet the crepes suzettes are. One tip though - the "conservatory" area by the garden can be noisy.

Really enjoyed our dinner tonight. Although the decor is dated this restaurant deserves every accolade as the food is so good. The staff are attentive, quality of food is good and well presented. Always on the come again list as such good value. Deserve success.

We have known this restaurant for many years but have not stayed in this area of the Algarve for four years. We visited Casa Petuxa on Monday evening and it was the same as ever. Good service, excellent food and at very reasonable prices. We have already booked our next meal there. Splendid.

Thank Peter A

Family restaurant serving Portuguese traditional cuisine, has in dishes like Monkfish "Pituxa" or Grilled Lamb Fillets with Mint sauce some of their dishes of excellence. Fresh fish daily, assorted meats and various desserts. Enjoy our magnificent terrace during midsummer, or stay warm near our fireplace during winter evenings. Moderately priced. We are situated in a quiet area next to the Vale do Lobo road - Almancil. Pay us a visit and make yourself at home!
