The Rincon Tropical is under new management and is now called the Rincon Boricua (though your credit card receipt will still show "Rincon Tropical"). I dined there last Sunday and was favorably impressed. Despite the fact the restaurant went from empty to half full within 15 minutes and there was only one waitress, service was courteous and efficient. Orders were... More

Rincon Tropical is a nice Puerto Rican restaurant offering standard fare. The cooking and seasoning of the dishes is above par. The mofongo and tostones are excellent. The food is well worth the walk from the local hotels and superior in quality and at a much more reasonable price.

The food here was simply amazing. The grouper Mofongo and fried cheese were cooked to perfection. The portion, upon arrival, appeared normal size. However, neither of us could finish our meal. I had shrimp Mofongo my husband ordered grouper Mofongo. We had a side of mamposteao rice (or something like that) it was so tasty. The service was painfully slow... More

While this little place may be off the beaten path, don't skip it if you get anywhere near here! We ordered the appetizer combo (I highly recommend as they have the BEST mayo/ketchup sauce on the island,) and the fried shrimp. Neither my husband nor I speak spanish well and were able to order our food without a problem and... More

We have been going here for years, we have never had anything but a great meal here. The food is totally awesome, try the churasco. Best on the island, so is the mofungo. It is all good, always our first stop when we fly in. Will be there in four weeks.

The food was okay, but a bit pricey for the lack of taste. Service was good, the woman who served us was very nice. You can get better food for almost the same price at La Cambija.

I wanted to eat at a local place and decided to try Rincón Tropical based on the reviews. It was a good choice. The service was quick and friendly and the food came in large portions. Great value for the servings. We ordered the grilled skirt steak, arañitas, caesar salad with chicken and the chicken alfredo. The restaurant was "open... More
