We could only eat out side. The ally way was busy. My wife enjoyed her food. I ordered a mix sea food platter. Lots of salad. The prawns were very, very salty, an indication that they had been frozen. As with many restaurants that have the pictures of the dishes displayed, these dishes are pre- prepared. We were unable to... More

Came across El Porton by accident. Excellent selection and combinations of meals / tapas and good prices. Staff are very helpful and friendly.

Also helped us find the best way home back to Malaga, because Google Maps was showing us only a difficult route to drive (especially for the night). Thanks a lot again! We will come back! ☺

Pretty expensive food that does not taste great. Avoid the square and go outside of it. Our lunch was salty and small given the price. The salad ( icebergs lettus, tomato, carrot and 1/4 can of tuna) over priced at 6.50 euros. Total lunch was 32 euros which is very over price. We had a better dinner at a wine... More

I was in Ronda with a tour group and our guide who is a resident of Spain recommended this restaurant as having "traditional food". I had the oxtail which was delicious and worth not a long wait. The meat was succulent and literally falling off the bone. After this lunch I had a non-alcholic drink of a green apple schnapps... More

We had lunch here on second day in Ronda but were very disappointed. We were looking for tapas and there was a considerable list by the door. We were sent right to the back of the restaurant and ignored for around 5 minutes. Just about to leave when the waiter brought the menus and asked for our drink order. I... More

Situation in a small side street opposite the bull ring, where locals meet for drinks and tapas. Outside tables with cloths, menu not huge but a reasonable choice for a quick lunch. The waiter was very pleasant, helpful and he gave great service. We ordered a local bottle of white wine which was just okay, it was wet and slightly... More

Our 1st visit to Ronda which is very picturesque and found this little tapas bar on the side street near the bullring. Small and crowded and got the last table. Jamon and cheese were wonderful. Soup however was terrible. Overall goo experience.

I've been to El Porton many times (and previously reviewed on TA a month ago), but on this visit it was absolutely awful. We ordered two mixed tapas plates - one seafood and one meat/cheese. The seafood plate was fine, but the meat/cheese plate was dreadful; 3 dried up pieces of manchego, a couple of slices of jamon and some... More
