On our next trip to the South West we had to include this wonderful restaurant that I found a couple of years ago. Again, wonderful service and food from Anthea and Duncan. Made to feel very much at home and the guinea fowl is something i will remember for a while! A must visit if you are ever in the... More

We were greeted by Dunan and Anthea and their two lovely dogs in a wonderfully welcoming reception/sitting room with a log burner throwing out some serious heat and just asking you to sit down and drink a gin and tonic before lunch! The food was absolutely first class. We chose from the lunch menu and nothing disappointed. I was needlessly... More

We had a wonderful lunch to celebrate a special birthday with friends. Everything was perfect, from the warm welcome, the cosy surroundings to the delicious meal. The attention to detail in every aspect was first class.

Had a delightful visit. I'd recommend this as a lovely overnight treat to anyone with good taste. The food, as might have been expected, was very good. But there were further nice surprises such as a not too long but excellent wine list, and the room was cosy and comfortable. It's not "flashy" but everything is done with a nice... More

I attended this homely & warm Old Inn at the end of November for my dads 60th birthday. As it was a celebration & my dad being a regular (on travel for work) we attended as a large family group, we were greeted as if we were family. We had a tailored menu presented to us minimum of 5 courses,... More

It doesn't get the evening off to a great start when you wait well over half an hour for your order to be taken (with only two other tables in action). The nibbles with the aperos took even longer. The risotto-like amuse bouche was terrific but an open ravioli of rabbit with lemon and parmesan was really twice as big... More

Sometimes you come across a restaurant/inn so perfect you want to keep the information to yourself and relive the experience in your mind over and over again. Duncan and Anthea are dream-makers! I can't compliment the experience any better than to say you could rate the dinner and room a 6 out 5.

Another brief but relaxing stay strong the Old Inn. The welcome is always reliable, the bedrooms modest but comfortable and the food seems to get better. It's one of those places that ought to be more popular but thank goodness it is still quite accessible to those who know. Will be back again.

We have eaten here a few times now and stop for lunch whenever we go to the South West. The food is sublime, the owners are charming, the wine list is excellent, couldn't ask for anything else.

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Old Inn and enjoyed delicious food and great wine all provided by our lovely hosts Anthea and Duncan who nothing was too much trouble for. We will definitely be returning in the near future and can highly recommend this comfortable and relaxing place.
