Nice restaurant with good wine list. Two escargots dishes were excellent (Bourgogne and Fricasse Alscanse) and confit de canard (a bit salty). Walking distance from Narodni Trida Metro (B) behind a large TESCO store.

NOTE: New address and contact: Zubateho 5 150 00 Prague 5 mob.: +420 702 033 020 info@laboucheriem.cz I was very happy to reconnect with Brasserie M after losing touch after their move. It was a Thursday in late October. For some reason, the autumn sun and approaching grey sky made me think of my time living in rural France. There... More

Delicious Czech food - duck and goulash especially - and great value for money. Sit outside on the square to people watch with one of their interesting cocktails. Lovely place.

A group of 12 and then 5 (17 of us traveled to Prague together) all had delicious meals there. The food is a selection of French, American and Czech dishes. One couple surprised us by celebrating their anniversary there that night. There is outdoor seating, but due to the size of our parties, we had to eat indoors. And it... More

We chose to eat here as it wasn't too far from the Jurys Inn and the choice of food was quite good. We sat outside with the heaters and blankets are also provided should it cool down. A first for me, the menu comes on an iPad. I chose the Duck with carrot puree, potato gnocchi and shallot confit. Very... More

Sitting outside in the summer (under shade) and eating a Greek salad is simply a perfect way to satisfy one's hunger and, at the same time, watch the world go by. The salad couldn't have been better (and the dark bread was to die for). The service was excellent. The only negative is that, like most brasseries, it can seem... More

Set on Námèstí Republiky this restaurant has a covered outside area that gives the visitor a great view of the comings & goings in Prague. We first visited just for a drink but also had our last evening meal here. Excellent food and really good service. Might be a bit chilly if you are outside and the weather is not... More

We picked the Brasserie by sheer random and it turned out to be a good choice. We ate a light meal but the service was good and the food was done nicely. Can't vouch for this as anything more than a good place to watch the foot traffic and have a beer and sandwich.

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
