We entered a quiet empty place, a good break from the tourist-filled streets. The sympathic waiter showed us around and we observed the wonderful old pictures of this area. The food was cheap, of good quality and made with love:) thank you

This restaurant is located right on the river, a perfect spot to watch paddle boats and tour boats go by. The fish was incredibly fresh and perfectly prepared. The service was welcoming and gracious. We spent some time just enjoying the relaxing atmosphere.

We tried a local specialty - a duck with knedliki and cabvage and it was very nice. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere. Just at the river bank.

The location is nice and they even provide some blankets for the cold evenings. The menu is in English and the waiter was fluent and friendly. We had to wait almost an hour, even though only 2-3 tables were occupied. The food was good but expensive. The mains do not include ride or potatoes, so you have to pay extra.... More

Nice location on the river Czech fish cuisine, not particularly well-finished and presented. We tasted just the red wine by the glass, nothing special. Good service and good prices

We find this place in the lonely planet and it was also recommended by our friends; so we decided to try since it was a very sunny day and u can eat outside close to the river. It was very good, we ate salmon and carp (you can see from the photo). We spent 30€ together for Two mani courses... More

We had gone by earlier in the day and gotten an ice cream and decided to go back for dinner. It was late and a little chilly so the outdoor was closed. Because of the hour it wasn't super busy. The waiter, Jacob, was awesome. He spoke English very well and you could tell he took pride in his job.... More

If you long for delicious meal, this restaurant is better avoid. You find here only very high price and very low food quality. All meals taste the same. Fishes are dry up, side dish too salt etc., the best what we had was water. And you will still only pay for all of these. I was the most shocked by... More

This restaurant looked like a local place, unfortunately it is another tourist trap. My zander was completely dry, my glass of expensive pinot grigio flat and sour. My kids liked the carp pieces (fried, no bones) though. This place charges a couvert (special charge to every meal, supposedly to cover things like vinegar and bread which by the way was... More

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
