Really very nice pub! The food and the service are probably the best in the area! I would recommend you several dishes: lamb leg, vegetable salad, beef tartar, chicken steak and last, but not least the dark beer.

As we had just been to the wonderful Pivovar Dum we decided to revisit this wonderful pub we went to last year on our holiday to Prague. A superb interior with a proper lived in locals feel to the pub you descend a set of stairs to the main seating area, the serving bar is as you enter the pub. A... More

We stayed around the corner at Miss Sophie's (also highly recommended), and decided to pop in early in our stay for a quick beer. It ended up being our last "hangout" each night. Small, intimate, no frills, not too many tourists, and good, cheap Czech beers (we never tried the food, but heard it was decent). We befriended the bartender,... More

My colleague and I were staying at the Ibis around the corner for 3 nights while on business and we came here every evening. Small bar stool seating area as you enter; go downstairs and there's a cosy room with lots of clocks on the walls and perhaps 5 or 6 tables that can seat up to 6 people each.... More

We stopped here to drink a few beers. Service was excellent and very friendly. A rather small place with just few tables, but a nice, calm atmosphere to have a drink. The menu seemed to consist of typical Czech cuisine.

Nicely decorated little place with very good food and reasonable prices. Menu in 10 languages. Great beer on tap. I had the duck and it was superb.

Only had couple of beers and shots, but can say, it is not appealing place, no matter how low standards you have. The beer wasnt good, unless you prefer smelly Kozel. There was only one waiter, who struggled to run up and down the stairs (wouldnt like to climb them after 10 beers:-) ). The pick of the day was a... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
