In summer this restaurant is MUST! Lovely terrace and beautiful view to Vitus Cathedral. Little expensive but I highly recommend this!

Great atmosphere, just don't tell the kids you ate "piglet". Ask to eat on the rooftop garden as it is very nice even in a heatwave. Great service, and the waiter (who may have been the owner) talked me into the suckling pig as a local dish. Very glad I did.

I have been comming to this place for 10 years now and not once was I dissapointed. Good food for a reasonable price for the location, just on the foothill of Prague castle. Summer terrace with open grill gives you one of the best romantic sceneries in Prague. About a 100 meters for the Prague castle side entrance. Very peaceful... More

At first sight it may look like any other restaurant in the area (okay, not many places in this particular area, I mean the Castle district) but you will be pleasantly surprised. Their famous piglet is excellent, but in our case it deserved to spend a bit more time doing. Other than that the courses are imaginative, simple yet very... More

Fantastic little find next to such a major attraction. Service was fantastic, and the waitress was very attentive and kind. The lunch menu was only 280CZK which for a three course meal is great, also enjoyed the free bread with pate and garlic butter. Would highly recommend you stop by.

As part of our tour, we stopped here for lunch. Although it was a group lunch the service was fast and the service very good. We had a tasty chicken and dessert. I would go back again.

For an early dinner, we visited this restaurant this afternoon on the spur of the moment and worried about what we would get. What we had was good service with four good plates of food which were beautifully presented. Portion sizes are fine and sensible and even though this was our main meal we were not left hungry. As others... More

We only stopped for drinks but the place was nice and staff really really nice. Pints were cheap and terrace offered nice stop before going to the garden.

The cold cucumber soup and the sevicka were really good. ALso the other meals were good. The waitress was very nice and also brought the kids a basket with toys and that kept them busy for pretty long.

The food here can be charitably described as being uninspired and basically mundane. Interestingly, the waiter told me that "service isn't included" when I asked for the bill. Brilliant.

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighbourhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
