What a lovely place to eat dinner. We sat in the non-smoking section. We arrived without a reservation and the waiters were very accommodating. We had a soup and the whipped beer cheese with toasts, the soup wasn't very hot but it was tasty. The whipped cheese was very nice but extremely rich. We shared a roasted ham which came... More

Do not miss the half duck - it is superb, with delicious dumplings as accompaniment. People all around were having the pig's knee - looked interesting as well.

Within 2-3 blocks of Old Towne Square, we found the place that Anthony Bourdain ate at and the dishes actually looked good from the tripadvisor. It was busy with both locals and tourists. Friendly and clean atmosphere. The food was similar to other places we had eaten in central Europe. The pork tail tasted like the pork knuckle but, drier. Maybe... More

Good beer and tasty food. Service was very professional, but I have one objection. We ordered three different dishes and we got each of them separately in long term. First we got goulash in about 10 minutes, than salad and second dish 10 minutes later and last, pork knee 45 minutes since we arrived. So, we all ate separately. Whatever,... More

We are a big fan of breweries however when it came to this one we were sorely disappointed and shocked by staff behaviour! You walk in for lunch as a tourist and they deliberately don't give you (or tell you about) the local lunch menu with better prices so that you spend your tourist money on a more expensive meal.... The restaurant has a nice atmosphere to it. Really nice. It was spacious and the service was always there when you needed it to. Food was great and as it is in the center of Prague the prices were pretty reasonable. If you are a fan of bee, they also have some unique choices, as they also are a brewery.

Had a beer - pretty good. Food was also really well cooked. Staff was friendly and lets you enjoy the meal without constant interruptions. The interior is really spacious and It felt like a tavern from early 20th century. If you want to get a taste of czech cousine and avoid expensive restaurants for tourists, this is the place to... Excellent typical Czech cuisine and very well brewed beers (in house). Had the combination duck and pork and dumplings-all good, but the dumplings are heavy indeed. The service was curt, but efficient. Also ordered the "pig leg'-pork shank: too much food for one night. Beware: smoking and non-smoking zones. Long line for a wait.

Old school unpasteurized and open-topped beer casks allow for wild yeasts to aid in fermenting the old-school beer served on the upstairs floor. Pretty unusual to look into a foamy beer keg from the top and see beer open to the elements for fermenting. Pretty tasty too.

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
