We knew this was a touristy area and that it would therefore likely have higher prices. I wish I had read the reviews here before we sat down. We had local currency, so we didn't get ripped off quite as badly, but we saw other patrons complain as they paid in Euros (with an awful, unfair exchange rate) when they... More

Avarage place in a nice neighbourhood with high prices. We only had a couple of drinks, but nothing special. Typical tourist place.

Horrible experience! Totally overpriced, you basically end paying three times more! and making it worse the food isn't good either. The fried cheese ( Czech traditional dish) was horrible. The cheese was gooeey. No prices in menu too. You are just surprised with a big bill! Paying in euros is a total rip off . The conversion to euro isnt... More

Fully agree with other reviewers on this site. We popped in to get away from the rain without having had the foresight to check here. As others have said this place is a rip off. There appears to be an automatic cover charge just for sitting down (50 Kr). If you decide to try the somewhat stale crisps on the... More

Having just arrived in Prague we decided to grab a quick bite to eat. The food was poor quality and service was terrible. When the bill arrived we paid by card, only to discover later that they overcharged us significantly in Euros. The total bill was 1039 Kcn which is equivalent to 38 euros - we were charged 51 euros.... More

The place is hugely overpriced, it's just tourist's trap. Don't go there. There are great places just couple steps further.

This place is the worst place we've ever been in our lives. The beer 110kc!!!! 2 minutes down the road it is 25kc!!!!!! Absolutely ridiculous! They also charged us cover charge AND THEN tried to charge us 10% for service AS WELL!!!! couldn't believe it! luckily we realised...we didn't want to pay a penny if we're honest it was that... Everything written about this place is true. Don't fall for it. They charge all sorts of extras; service, €2 for soggy old chips on the table and the beers are like 3times the price that is common for Prague. Unfortunately, I didn't look on trip advisor before sitting here.

Nice location, but... Small portions of food and high prices. The most expensive beer in the town. Dont go here!

Restaurant name seems to have changed but the experience is similar. Food is overpriced. Service is really bad. If you think the bowl with crisps is some kind of welcome offer with your beer it will cost you 3euros.

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighbourhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
