Had Paella here, it took around 35 minutes for them to cook it. I must say it was worth waiting for it. Delicious. Would love to come back to Prague just to have Paella from here again😘 Keep it up!!

We shared paella with my parents and we really loved it. I can recommend this restaurant to people who want to eat spanish cuisine in Prague. Nice atmosphere there and kind staff.

We came across this Spanish Tapas restaurant on the way back from a very long walk around the park and monastery and decided it was time for a late lunch (around 2.00pm). We were warmly greeted and the choice of food was fantastic as there was not too much meaning that it will be freshly cooked. We were not disappointed... More

An absolutely wonderful find in the heart of Prague. This jewel is 2 min away from Charles Bridge, in Mala Strana. Each and every meal I've had at El Centro has always been as if I am eating a homemade meal -- as the owners take care to deliver their best to each customer as if they were guests at... More

We first saw El Centro listed on TripAdvisor and took note of it because we LOVE paella and thought this would be perfect half way through our trip. We even printed a walking map for ourselves so we could easily find it when we crossed the Charles Bridge. IT WAS PERFECT IN EVERY WAY! From the colorful door entry to... More

According to EU law, when restaurants serve frozen food they have to write it on the menu. This seems to be a very unimportant detail for the manager of El Centro. The paella (which was descibed as their masterpiece) was really unpleasant: the frozen fish was too hard and dry; the rice was plain, sticky, and with no vegetables at all.... More

Hello Margharita, despite our disagreement I thank you for your review. We take our customers feedback very seriously. We are sorry that you didnť like our paella. Unfortunately you left only rice with one prawn so we were unable to establish if your claim was correct. The problem with the seafood in czech republic which is centre of europe and... More

Saw this place a while ago and thought the decor looked interesting so I decided to try it out. We tried a house red wine that they had which was nice, and also not expensive at all. I thought they actually had a good selection of wine for being such a small place. I had the chicken nachos as a... More

Hola Jen We are spanish with just few guatemalan dishes. Therefor that shortage of guacamole. The 10ppl party was just the last one enjoying guacamole on that day. Nevertheless my apologies, I have underestimated the demand, but we are trying to maintain everything fresh and that way from time to time we run out of something. Sorry about your dish.... More

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
