The interior was interesting - tones of red, grey and gold with floral see-through wall dividing the back eating area from the kitchen hallway. The price level was reasonable as it was situated well in the city and nearby the cathedral. I ordered 2 tapas and sole with 2 glasses of house white wine. The portions were big enough and... More

Nice small restaurant attached to a small hotel. First night tourist walk from the Hilton and found Mucha Restaurant. Sparsely populated at first but slowly filled up. Clean and attractive interior and the service is friendly and efficient. Food was very good for our first meal in Prague and prices are reasonable. The local beer was enjoyed and our foursome... I love Mucha, the artist, so I thought it would be nice to be surrounded by his artwork while having lunch. The dining room is tucked away from the busy street and feels light and airy. The atmosphere was very nice , it was not crowded and we walked in without having reservations. The popular czech food - gulas and... More

I have returned there for dinner 3 times, whenever I am in Prague, as the experience has been wonderful. They make the world's best goulash, better than it was in Hungary, and every guest I have taken there has been uniformly impressed by their food, service, friendly -- almost festive -- atmosphere, and value. I have eaten different dishes, duck... More

We had an experience with czech cuisine two days before this, and it was OK. After enjoying our trip, we had an urgent call from nature, and the place was nice and open. We found the restaurant on our way to the special nature altar and were surprised to discover such a charming environment. The fact is that the restaurant... More

Prague is glorious! Its architecture and delicious cuisine was what made our trip unforgettable. Restaurant Mucha in Prague was where we had lunch after our day tour around the city. I had chicken with potatoes and sauerkraut. The chicken was cooked to perfection with the sauerkraut and potatoes complimenting the dish well. The paintings around the restaurant gives you a... We stopped here for lunch after a long morning of sight-seeing. We saw the sign for the specials (in English) and liked that it was associated with Mucha. The prices were good. We ordered grilled chicken salad and fries. The service was great and the restaurant had a very nice decor. It didn't feel like we were in the tourist... More

We stumbled on this restaurant while walking around the Old Town Square looking for the Opera House. Since they advertised their local lunch special as examples of Czech cooking, we went in to try it out. Immediately after getting inside, the paintings on the walls, the many art works of the artist Mr. Mucha were on display. A video was... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
