We had the most amazing meal at Kobe. From the moment you walk into the downstairs restaurant you know you are in for a treat. We started with a Maki Sushi plate to share and both had a fillet steak for main course. Our steaks were cooked to perfection and the sauces were delish. (Mushroom for me and Peppercorn for... More

We booked this restaurant for our Christmas Day dinner whilst in Prague. First impressions were actually not that good. We had booked in advance, but the waiter that greeted us did not seem all that welcoming and showed us to a seat in an empty restaurant. We asked to be moved to a booth, and he said "They are for... Got into town on Christmas day evening, so booked this in advance to make sure we had something. Needn't have worried as the whole town is as good as open. Not being sushi fans, went straight to the meat party of the menu. Skipped the Kobe beef (pricy!) and actually went for pasta and lamb. Both excellent. Czech red pinot... More

If you search for very good beef, stop here: this restaurant delivers excellent steaks cooked in japanese-style and you can eat sushi too (I was not interested). Strongly recommended.

Loved the Kobe-style beef, had a mix grill for 2 and an amazing tartar of this type. Tried also fillet of real Kobe (good but a little to fat to my taste), and angus (good as well). Had a wonderful bottle of valpolicella ripasso 2013. Though i would strongly recommend not to take sushi or sashimi, as it was not... More

Walked in last night to find fully booked which was a good sign in itself. Booked for the following night and what a good decision that was. Service from arriving was top notch. The starter of tempura prawns was so good I could have repeated it for the main course. We both had the same meal and for main course... More

Having visited the Kobe restaurants in the States, I had expectations of the chain. No Japanese chefs cooking at the table for you but still a good selection to chose from. The waiter spoke good English and was happy to advise us. The food was delicious. The only thing which marred our visit was the fact that there were diners... More

We stopped in for some sushi and sushi we got. The food was a good effort but tasted a bit dull. Also smoking is allowed in the restaurant which definitely affects the experience of tasting delicate nuances. Maybe meat is the thing in this restaurant, at least it looked tasty as the waiters carried it to the nearby tables.

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
