I have never had such rude service here in Prague before. I was waiting for my friend to make an order, but THE woman (I don't know her name or position, she never introduced herself) she told me to go and get my order or I should leave in an incredibly rude and impolite way. I could understand if they... More

Dear Anna, thank you for your opinion. We have also received your negative review on Facebook yesterday. THE woman's name is Nela and she is the co-owner of Friends Coffee House so it is in her best interest to make sure our customers are happy. According to the information I have you have been using our coffee house as an... More

A great coffee place right in the center, but completely cozy, with great service and delicious cakes. They even have "pao de queijo" (or cheese bread if you prefer, a Brazilian speciality that I love)!!! It has a nice atmosphere, and specially on a cold and lazy afternoon when I have some times on my hands, I could spend a... More

Been here many times but a lot of my friends don't like it. The reason why? Well when you enter you place your order at the counter. They give you a number on a small stand to put on your table and then you go and find a table and sit down. Your order is then bought to your table a... More

Overpriced (priced ~like Starbucks but much worse quality)...but above all - very rude (e.g., waiter kept trying to talk to me while I was on the phone at my table)! Never again.

Dear Julia, we at Friends Coffee House appreciate any opinion. We very rarely receive such a negative review as yours. Our coffee is freshly roasted and majority of our customers like it very much. Even though our location is in the very center of Prague our prices are still below the global coffee chains you mention. I checked with our... More

I like location (only parking is not very good) and the place as well. They do good coffee, stuff is very careful, internet connection is good and I did also some events for bigger groups there and they were very flexible and events were successful.

This place is great if you want fresh, delicious coffee and superior Wi-Fi. Unlike other cafes in Prague, the coffee fills the cup. I've been many places where the mug is only 1/2 to 3/4 full and most of that is foam. The service is great. If you're coming in here to work, be considerate and order something every 60... More

We turned this great little (little from the outside, big on the inside) coffee shop into a regular hang out while we visited the beautiful city of Prague. Because we both needed to stay somewhat plugged in to the office while we were away, finding Friends Coffee House gave us a comfortable place to sit, login using their free WiFi,... More

Following a recommendation in our lonely planet guide we found this place round the corner from our hotel. An unassuming place with friendly staff, reasonable prices and a nice ambience. We were recommended for breakfast though for the English traveller there were limited breakfast options. The cake looked nice however it was too early for cake! Worth a pop in... More

I've been traveling the world for 14 years and I go to coffee shops frequently. After 2 years of living in Prague, and many times visiting this coffee shop, I must say that it is only an AVERAGE coffeeshop. Yes, the coffee is good, as well as the cakes, but that is really all. For me, the sandwiches were rather... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
