Visited in September 2016 - family celebration. We reserved separated table for our family and had a lunch there. Meals very good, good portions, nice staff. Despite of being very close to the city centre or Prague Castle, the prices are really acceptable. Not overcrowded, nice atmosphere. Guests are mixed of Czechs and foreigners.

The place is in a lovely corner of the huge Klarov square. We came here for a tartar, not for the first time and I am sure nor the last time either! The meat was lovely, just mildly spiced with the egg on the top. Fried bread with garlic and really good microbrewery beer made it a very pleasant experince! The... More

A local bar offering simple fare at modest prices. Steak n chips and a beer and chicken and chips and glass of wine for the missus. Pancakes, ice cream for afters. Attentive, pleasant serving wench. Not gourmet, not fine dining but plenty good enough after a day's sightseeing . We would deffo return.

The restaurant is at 50 m away from Klarov Hotel, so, if you will stay there, you can think having dinner up there. The only annoying thing is that smoking is allowed.

We had coffee here once on a late afternoon. I liked the way the place was decorated. Old look but in a slightly different manner. Irish coffee was good. Strong the way I like it. Cappuccino could have been a bit better. We did not try any food but would like to next time. The staff was good & polite.... More

You're not able to pay with a card. Steak was pretty salty. Pint of beer is 0.4 liter. Seems like they want to trick you. Not happy eating here.

I droped by this place for a quick lunch with friend on the way to Prague Castle through the Old Castle Stairs. It is just close to metro station Malostranska and on the foothill of the stairs. I wasn´t expecting much, so I wasn´t surprised either way. Food is good, atmosphere of the restaurant is none, service good, but not... More

Considering I only ended up here by walking in the opposite direction to everyone leaving the castle, I was very happy with what I got. Very fast service, a small and comfortable bar, a decent selection on the menu, and very nicely cooked beef all at a good price. I'd return.

We first ate here in 2014 and the meal was very good. We had spent the day up at the castle and we stumbled upon the place as it was getting dark and a light rain was starting to fall. The location was really our only reason for popping in. In 2015, we made it a mission to find it... More

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighbourhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
