Stumbled into this place - what a great surprise! Delicious traditional Czech food. Perfect for a cold evening! The soup served in a hollowed-out bread loaf was special. I'm a real foodie and this place was a winter heaven.

What a great little restaurant! Serving some authentic Czech recipes and drinks in a friendly and relaxed environment. I can personally recommend the Beef Goulash with dumplings!

The restaurant has a rich menu with many local dishes. We ordered lemon chicken, rabbit, and trout fish and all were perfect. The service was good and attentive

Appears to br a tradtional Czech restuarant. A four piece jazz ensamble began playing at 1900. Enjoyed the Dixieland sounds of New Orleans. Dinner was very good. I had a ham shank that was presented in a neat manner. My wife had pork medallions with mashed potatoes. A draft Pilsner Urquel which we had on several other occsssions was excellent.... More

We stumbled across this little gem just down from Wenceslas square and is en route to the main square. The service was outstanding and very attentive, in a welcoming atmosphere full of charm. The menu is fabulous with local dishes that are plentiful in size and delicious in taste. We had the pork knuckle that just fell off the bone... More

We ate here twice as we found the food to a very good standard. On the first night my wife had the rabbit, I tasted it and it was excellent so I had it the second night there. The service was very good and the price was very reasonable. The only slight issue was that due to the temperature outside... More

Decided to try this restaurant because of the big pork they have roasting just outside of the restaurant. Went there with my wife, and we both went for pork. I had the pork knee, and it was amazing. It's soft, juicy, and really really tasty. It's quite big though, so make sure you're hungry if you're going for that. Apparently... More

A really nice restaurant with good, wholesome Czech food and great local beer. A bit touristy, but still an excellent restaurant and worth a visit.

Thank Conor M

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
