5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed yesterday NEW

We walked by this place on a Friday night and tried to get a table - no luck. We booked a reservation for Saturday and returned the following evening. I'm glad we did. The atmosphere here is rather informal, kind of pub-like. It has 50 international bottled beers, which is one attraction, though I'd stick to the Pilsner Urquell myself... More

Good atmosphere and our waiter was efficient and friendly. My friend and I both chose the pike perch, which was very good. I then chose the pear strudel, which unfortunately was tasteless. My friend had the bread pudding which he enjoyed. I had mint lemonade to drink, which was made of fresh mint and was very refreshing. Would go there... More

Having visited in October last year, we ate here a couple of times on this visit. Whilst not the cheapest ( Or the most expensive). The food and service remain good. Recommended.

Really enjoyable experience. Food and presentation(+), service(+) and value(~) a little on the pricey side for bar setting. Still suggest a visit when passing through old town.

Very meaty food, tasted ok to myself, but my wife it very rich and meaty and found it not to her taste. The cheese cake had a soggy pastry bottom, not nice! An interesting venue but would not go again.

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
