In the castle you will pay 100czk for a bottle of coke, this excellent small cafe is less than 5 minutes walk from the main gates and you can get a coffee and cake for only 85czk or panini and beer for 105czk - highly recommended if you are in the area and want a rest from a long day... More

This place is really charming and it´s a pleasure to watch owner preparing snacks & drinks and chatting with customers at the same time. We enjoyed hot ciders every day after having a long walking tour around Prague castle neighborhood. This small place invited us to come back with spontaneous atmosphere.

Inexpensive, delicious authentic Czech food. Loved the atmosphere and friendly staff. Tried goulash in 5 different places while in Prague for a week and Kafe U Zelenych Kamen's was, by far, THE BEST.

Cozy little place that serves excellent panini's and tortilla's which can be topped with delicious cakes. Interior gives you the feeling of a small skiing lodge. Very friendly service.

We came upon this little cafe having decided to have lunch at 1.30 in the afternoon and being told at every restaurant that they had no room. The staff here were friendly and made no fuss when I maneuvered our child's pushchair through their front door (I hadn't appreciated at that point how small the cafe is or how much... More

Whilst everybody coming out of the castle turned left down the hill to Charles Bridge we turned right and 20 metres up the hill found this little gem. Cosy, warm, nice staff, good value, hot strong Americano and delicious cream banana cake - and there was a good deal on coffee and cake. What more can I add!!

A close walk away from the most famous bridge in Prague. Prices are very standart as its in a touristic area. Their cakes were really nice. Not so sweet and very light. Also the place itself is very relaxing after a long walking session. Nice music in the background and friendly service.

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighbourhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
