This place became a really great regular spot for my friends and I when we studied abroad in Prague. It's a chain, but it doesn't feel like it. Very cool atmosphere, good beer selection and great Czech food. It's definitely a meat-centric place, however. I don't know if I'd recommend it to a vegan or vegetarian. The classic goulash and... Ate here on a busy Saturday night, and personally speaking, found the food to be the best we tasted on our trip to Prague. Nice atmosphere . good food and good beer...what more could you want. We did not book, but got seated without any fuss . you may have to wait a little longer for the food to come... More

We struggled to find vegetarian options in Prague, but managed to have a couple of options here (literally two) - they were both very good. The atmosphere and beer were excellent. Gluten free options available.

We tried the Roast Duck which was excellent. We also tried the wild boar and reminded me of a roast that was too well done. It was good but would have liked it more medium not well done. The sauerkraut and red cabbage were excellent along with the famous Pilsner Urquells. Look forward to coming back for the roast duck... More

My wife and I visited here on our last night in Prague. After crossing the bridge from Old Town, we came out of the cold into a warm and inviting restaurant. I ate the goulash, which had very tender beef and which came with yummy potato pancakes. Very delicious. The beer (Pilsner Urquell) was also delicious, and the perfect accompaniment... More

If you like to try traditional Czech food, this was a great place, there was so much choice we can back another night, they even do beer by the litre! Lots of tables and really friendly staff. The bar was also good if you just fancy a drink.

We visit this place very often. We love dark tap Kozel beer and beer tartar. Food is tasty, beer even better. This place provide you with the Czech cuisine. Prices are not so bad. Try it

Very local place w a great atmosphere. A little out of the way for most tourists, thankfully. If you are a vegetarian, not your place (but most of Prague isn't ). Great food, atmosphere, and service - consistently.

We saw this pub on our last day out, and decided to go there for our evening meal before flying home the next day. It is situated not far from the river, and is a huge venue. The main entrance is a revolving door. As we went in, we were asked if we wanted to be in the smoking, or... More

Description
Olympia has been alive with the hustle and bustle of society since it was opened. In the early nineteen hundreds the prohibited card game baccarat was played here in secret. It was very popular with officers in particular and also with gentlemen of high society in Prague. You will find Pilsner Urquell lager and dark Velkopopovicky Kozel, as well as Master 13° Semi-dark and Birell Light on tap. Welcome to Kolkovna Olympia!

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
