Unforgettable experience and the best services! Never been to a more authentic, cozy place which offers this service level! Incredible food (the flamed deer is spectacular), at a reasonable price - so sad that we could only go there once. We will fly back to...Prague just for THIS. Thank you so much!!More

Excellent service and delicious food. I got the flambe deer and not only did it taste fantastic, but the flambe was done in front of me! Very enjoyable. Authentic service and very cosy feel.

Incredible food and service! The grilled duck in chilli-orange, in particular, was amazing! The waiter suggested the perfect Czech Pinot noir to accompany our food. On top of that, the live pianist was brilliant and very friendly.

The charm and panache this little pocket of amazing nestled in the cobblestone streets of Prague will leave your belly full of incredible cuisine and your soul nourished by all that makes up its stellar atmosphere. My server Rudolf was absolutely perfect in his service...from butter on the bread plate to the wine service to the flambe' of the deer to the brulee of the dessert. Focused on detail and enhancing the experience, he was an absolute joy. The pianist Honza was a Beatles aficionado and I could NOT have been more entertained. His first tune at my right elbow was my favorite Fab Four hit--"Lady Madonna." And the hits just kept coming. I tried Czech favorites and standards and each course was more incredible than the last. Becherovka aperitif, a Monrovian red with dinner, a doppio espresso to finish. A venison pate and a deer shoulder for appetizer and main. And a double-bruleed creme dessert that sang on the taste buds. Please don't miss this gem. From decor to dining to drinks and dessert, it's a must see. From the moment you walk in the door to the final dekuji as you leave, the Blue Duckling is one of my favorite parts of visiting Prague.More

Let me thank You for your and your colleagues' kindness during our stay! I have to tell You that it was our finest dinner experience in the last few years! It's due to your kindness, helpfulness, smiling and being so friendly with us! Trully, we...were heart touched by your kindness when serving the tasty food and drinks, the romantic atmosphere, the piano music and the sweet surprise to my Husband's birthday <3 After dinner we visited a Beer Spa, and the next day went to the Palace, Orloj and a brewery before flying back to Budapest. On the way home I asked him about his favourite experience in this 24hour trip to Prague, and he answered right away that the romantic dinner in the Blue Duck :) So thank You again for your kind help with everything, the kindness and friendliness :) Have a wonderful evening! <3 Kind regards, KrisztinaMore

The best restaurant in Prague,in my opinion, if you are looking for traditional Czech cuisine with a twist. The service is excellent and personal, whether you are visiting as a couple, a family, a group of friends or entertaining business colleagues or customers you will...not be disappointed. Not rushed, not pushed, it really does feel like you matter! Very highly recommended.More

Food can be a bit of a hit and miss in Prague I find, but this place falls into a really good category. Star of the show for me was maple smoked duck breast with honey shallots - perfect combination of flavours and an amazing...start to a dining experience. Tasting menu at 690 Czk was a good deal and worth considering if wanting to familiarise oneself with decent version of a local cuisine. Decor is very cosy and warm. Service was spectacular: friendly, efficient and accommodating. I would visit again.More

Yes , you can easily overdo it Prague with eating duck. Duck is served seemingly everywhere around town. Our favorite places to enjoy the duck specialties are the two restaurants named Blue Duckling and Blue Duckling ll. For years , since the nineties , we...made sure we had at least one good duck dinner in Prague. Back then, my husband and I always dined in their sister restaurant at the Mala Strana location, while we were staying in hotels nearby. We stayed in Mandarin Oriental hotel , for part of this trip, so we had our first duck dinner at the restaurant located in Nebovidska street - the " original" Blue Duckling . When we moved to Hotel Smetana in Old Town, towards the end of our trip, we decided to try U Modre Kachnicky ll . For the convenient location , since the restaurant is in walking distance to hotel Smetana. It was about time we sampled the duck there. We were not disappointed ! We had reservations, the restaurant was packed when we arrived. We were warmly greeted and escorted upstairs. We had a nice private table for two, although a bit secluded. I would have preferred downstairs seating, but the restaurant was full. I was worried, that we might have less attentive service upstairs, but quite the opposite was true. The servers were friendly and we were very well taken care off. In an unhurried, classy way! The duck dishes were cooked to perfection, we also shared pate to start. Beer to drink. I don't remember the dessert , I am sure it was delicious. We eat sweets all day long when in Prague, not just after dinner dessert. As we were leaving , we run into the restaurant manager downstairs, who chatted and joked around with us for few minutes, even though the restaurant was crazy busy. I jotted down three names, the two guys that served us and the manager, who made are evening special! Jan, Antonin and Rudolph, thank you for a wonderful, fun evening ! Till next time , Dekuji a NashledanouMore

This restaurant was recommended by a Slovakian friend and it was delightful! My husband loves venison (which I refuse to cook), and he was over the moon with the choice at this restaurant. Service was attentive and informative, wines and beers were great.
