The beer is too pricy the wine is twice the price of beer. The staff are not arowend for service and the ambiance is very sad. The only good thing is the location.

Stopped in for beef goulash and dumplings and a dark beer with family. Very well cooked and reasonable price for location.

We had a traditional goulash in bread bowl and a burger. Price was not bad. Taste of gulash was super, the burger tasted too much of garlic. Service was fast, and very comfy . Location is super, just in front of malostranske namesti. The dining room looked like an old traditional tavern.

Visited in December when looking for some hot food. Soup was delicious as was the apple strudel and hot chocolate we ordered. Service was fast and friendly and it had quite a good atmosphere. Downstairs off the bar area there is an interesting exhibition of paintings.

Pleasant lunch stop - nice interior in the restaurant, good service, varied menu with a wide range of types of food.

Avoid this place. Very unprofessional staff. All the waitress does is laugh and joke with the waiter and not quietly either. The food was ok but when asking for the bill the waitress brought a calculator with a figure on the screen and explained that this was 2 total with 10% service charge added. We asked for the itemised paper... More

Last minute walk in as other "expensive" places all fully booked. Looked cheap n cheerful so we took a gamble. Ordered goulash bread bowl & chicken salad plus 2 drinks. Went on TripAdvisor whilst waiting for food, recent negative reviews gave us cause for concern. We waited and were not disappointed with our food, good hearty goulash, generous portion and... More

This is ideally situated just off one of the main squares in the New Town which is actually quite old. We popped in for morning drinks seated under the huge arches of the building above. The menu was very enterprising catering for all tastes. The plates passing our eyes were attractive. Our various drinks were very well served by a... More

I went last year with a group of friends and we had really good time good food good price! So i was so proud to bring a friend there this time. It wasn't the right choice! The waiters incredibly rude and unfriendly, they forget things that after we found in the bill, we had to ask many times for a... More

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
