We ate here following a family recommendation and were not disappointed. We were warmly welcomed and given a complementary drink on arrival. The menu is traditional Polish with hearty, tasty food served in good sized portions. The restaurant is more like dining a Polish farmhouse kitchen and very atmospheric and interesting. The staff were pleasant and helpful and we would... More

Super atmospheric, old world tradition here. Great food, we had roast pork with potatoes, pierogies, sauerkraut soup which was served in a bread bowl, also chicken and pork basically looked like schnitzel ....all came with beets, pickled cabbage. Wine was good also, all for about $15.00 per person....

We went there for lunch and when we saw the menus we didn´t really know what to excpect. Not much that we really recognised from home, and with teenagers in the dfamily they had a hard time to decide what to try out. We oredered dumplings, a soup in bread, chicken with potatoes, potatoecakes with smetana and nudelsoup. All of... More

This eatery was just across the road from our hotel and we loved it. Very Polish which we like and the staff were very patient with a very rude American tourist.

- very local decoration and taste of food ( we ordered herring with sour in kashubian style; Kashubian pork with potatoes and salad; and dumplings with cabbages and beetroot salad. all are really satisfied) - lovely atmosphere and staff - reasonable price - food comes quickly but not hurry service However: there should be more attention on the door when... We had a lovely meal, we shared the meat patter which was really nice. The most memorable thing about the restaurant though is the décor which needs to be seen.

Good atmosphere here and you can eat outside on the small veranda or upstairs and inside this restaurant which serves Kashubian cuisine. It's good value Geoff the tourist traps which makes it a good lunch or dinner spot. Locals ear here too, which is a good sign. Staff are friendly and efficient. Try it!

The 'Tawerna Mestwin' must be the most Kashubian restaurant in town. The 'Velevetka', where I had been before just has Kashubian elements. Decoration, background music tries to impart some of the spirit of these Slawic people living in the countryside west of Gdansk. There is a wooden floor, a high ceiling with beams, from which are hanging ears of various... More

What a nice surprise that was, stepping into this charming and full of character restaurant! Not to mention lovely waitress, polite and very welcoming ( for a change 😉) Food was delicious, old Polish style, very satisfying even for very fussy one with us! Once we arrived at Celestin Residence we eat there every time as we didn't find nicer... More
