No fuss. Simple and modest but authentic. I only went there because the more famous and expensive restaurant across the road that was recommended to me didn't have a table, but I have to say despite the simple and modest self-service system and cheaper prices, the food wasn't any worse than the one across the road. I would definitely go... More

In Poland eat as the Polish. Tasteful and home made food in an original Polish environment. At my visit just local Krakow people were eating there. For me that´s always a sign to enter, and I did. I walked out 30 minutes later satisfied:)

Tasty food. Clean place. Traditional dishes. Not expensive. Recommend. Little self service. But what you expect for this price. Good.

We popped in here while walking around the old market square after being drawn in by the quirkiness of the frontage. The inside is very eclectic and clean with a very intriguing and colourful array of food on display. We headed towards the back of the restaurant to see the stained glass ceiling which is superb. The clientele was a... More

Our small group of 4 ate at Polskie Smaki 3 or 4 times. The food was very tasty, fresh and the portions were significant. We often shared one dish between two. The staff were friendly and even when busy-remained un-frazzled. Would recommend in a heart beat. Excellent - breakfast, lunch or dinner...consistently good quality and remarkably friendly and courteous staff.

We were recommended this place by someone local. It's a partially self service in the sense that you make an order at the till point and clear your plates. Some food was ready prepared whilst some was cooked to order. We had the dumplings (Pierogi) as well as chicken with veg. It was all cooked well and it really was... More

We went there around 8pm on a Friday, had to queue for a good 10 minutes, however the Bavarian pork was fantastic. With a massive portion of meat and one of dumplings (10 pieces) we ate in 2 girls.. for the equivalent of £12 each (pint included!). Ok for a cheap dinner in a non pretentious place, located very central.

Huge portions and super cheap prices! My Japanese boyfriend was astounded at how they can serve so much food for such a low cost. We got the pork knuckle (with Polish horseradish mustard), bigos, zurek soup with egg, and dumpling soup. All of it was delicious! The pork knuckle was fall-off-the-bone tender, the soup was hot, and the bigos was... More
