Traditional Polish food: all kind of meats, dumplings, home-made bread with a greasy spread and traditional "Żurek" soup served in a bread-bowl. Quite delicious, but not very cheap. Mountain style village interior design. Located in the old town area, right next to the Wawel castle.

Loved everything about this place from start to finish. Bread, gherkins, soup, main meal & beer for £12 bargain. Nice friendly staff as well.

We had a table booked for 20.00, some of us arrived at 19.00 so ordered a drink. When we were all there, 10 of us! We tried to order food only to be criticised for waiting so long to order!

We were approached by a food hawker out in the street to come in for dinner. Nice guy but we knew nothing about the restaurant. But, on the other hand, all we wanted was a bowl of soup and a few pierogis -- any restaurant in Poland can accommodate those two items. The ambience is nice -- rustic wood beams... More

Zurek is completely tasteless, other meals are fatty and have no taste. Surly staff, no wi-fi. Prices are reasonable.

Good food however without expecting fireworks. Herring super salty, pierogii not salty enough, cold duck and beetroot soup without typical sour taste in the end of each sip. Overall good but expecting to get it better next time ;)

If this is your first visit to Kraków and you are keen to try local food, this is a good place to start. You may pay marginally more, but you get a great atmosphere, English translations and pictures on the menu, and helpful English-speaking servers. Bread and lard may seem like a visit to heart-attack city, but it should be... More
