When you've spent most of the day travelling, by coach, plane, and had a tiring trek across an unfamiliar city with your luggage in subzero temperatures, you just want somewhere that's warm and welcoming, slightly familiar whilst also rewarding you for being somewhere new. When we walked in, I thought perhaps polka was going to verge on the uncomfortably pretentious,... More

What a lovely decoration inside the restaurant! Place was definitely a bit more elegant than some others nearby. Staff was friendly, dishes were guaranteed Polish food - and there was enough vodka as well. No complaints.

Don't expect fine dining, we went Polish for all 3 courses (when in Rome etc). The place was busy therefore they expect you to reserve, however, we were a Monday early evening walk in. The food was OK, staff very attentive but not too overbearing and friendly.3 courses and a half carafe of red wine. 200 zloty.

This is the best Polish food you can get unless you eat at a Polish family home. The service was friendly and courteous and it was good value for money. It is also very conveniently located for the old town and Nowy Swiat.

The most rude waiter in planet earth served us with gas-station-quality food. The only thing worth it was the smashed potatoes and the beer. If your plan is to go eating some smashed potatoes and some beer while being treated like cattle, then go there. If you want to spend a nice and beautiful evening and eat something decent, do... I was here for a business dinner with some colleagues and we all loved it! The food was spectacular, great quantity on the place and exquisite taste. Some good wine selection as well. The service is correct but maybe a bit too serious, smile more :)

Really good food in a very special environment. A nice place to start the stay in Warsaw at. Not so expensive.

Nice restaurant in the old city of Warsaw. The dumplings with meat were really good and tasty, while the main dish of the crispy duck with the cherry sauce was a little bit too sweet for me. This is considered a signature local dish, so I tried it but I don't think that I would order it again. Nevertheless, a... More

It is a classy looking restaurant in the old town with several rooms for separate dining areas. They serve local dishes. Pork chops treated with breadcrumbs, soups, and the pork rolls were delicious. The greeter and waiters were helpful and fluent in English. Service 7/10.

The food was good but not great: quite good handmade pierogis for 22 z., “elegant roasted pig’s knuckle” with cabbage for 42 z. (although just a plain pig’s knuckle, with nothing elegant about it), and excellent deep dish apple pie for 18 z. The wine list had not a great selection, and wasrather expensive. The atmosphere was pretty much a... More
